Isn't buying overpriced snacks part of the fun?

No, not that I remember.
I always bring a bottle of water, don't know if that counts.
But come on, you expect me to come without water? What if I don't drink soda?

I've snuck in snacks like candy before but I usually forget to bring stuff with me and end up paying for the overpriced theater candy. But my sister always brings food with her to the movies, usually a sandwich but sometimes fruit. She has to eat every 2 hours. Not because she's fat or anything, she's one of those people who eats small meals 5 or 6 times a day.

The weirdest thing I've seen someone sneak into a theater is pasta from Sbarro's. Me and my friends had went to lunch before going to the movies, and one of my friend's didn't finish so she was sitting in the theater with a plate and fork eating pasta.

I thought that the local theaters had not banned any food, yet now when I checked it to be sure, it seems that warm meals, ice cream and alcohol are indeed disallowed. But I've never brought in any of those, so no, I haven't snuck in anything. I've been perfectly allowed to bring some snacks. biggrin

I pretty much go to movie theaters for the popcorn. If my aim was to watch a movie I'd stay home and snack on whatever I had there.

Is bring in water bottle illegal in Canada cinema? I usually bring my own. I only buy light snack like popcorn that sold there 'cos i don't feel hungry during the show ----> I'm fine without food for haft of the day at school and that's happened on 3 or 4 days a week roll eyes

I don't know about Canada, but in the US... One time, I had a water bottle in my hand and was heading for the entrance to the movie hall, and the movie people stopped me and told me I had to throw it away! no

Wow! tacos? pizza? interesting. In my country people don't bring FOOD into the cinema, just snacks, and not many people eat during the movie, at the most popcorn. And since it's not illegal to take your own snacks, I have never snuck anything in.

Yep i have multiple times if i must say, here ( dominican republic) most theaters can be found inside malls with a big food court where u can buy good food cheaper!!! And girls use big bags where they carry so much crap that make it easy to snuck stuff intto the movie room. And as long as no one sees ya its legal bigrazz

Once, two friends and I each brought in a one styrofoam chinese food container (2 sides + rice) plus a drink. I sipped from the drink, but I didn't eat until afterwards (wasn't that hungry).

Usually, I don't eat in the theater anyway.

Oh god I have a funny story about this...
Usually I only sneak in candy and sometimes water, but my DAD on the other hand... xD
Sometime when my sister was under 17, we tried to see an R rated movie but we were told that my sis couldn't go in without someone 21 or up. My dad happened to be dropping us off, so although he never goes to the theater, he bought a ticket so we could see it.
5 minutes into the movie, he walks out without a word. About 20-30 minutes later, he comes back in carrying two full grocery bags. He sits down, takes out a ROTISSERIE CHICKEN, and starts eating it like it's totally normal. My sis got up and sat away from us while we ate it. laugh

Yeah I usually get snacks down at the 7-11 and get a friend to hide it in her purse, I think the most I ever brought in was a hamburger from BK

Yes, I have brought my own snacks just stuff like chips, popcorn, and drinks. It's too expensive to buy anything from the concession stand. I don't bother bringing anything now though since I don't feel the need to. I usually get something to eat after the movie anyway.

My parents used to sneak popcorn bought at Tesco into the cinema.

We own a popcorn maker, so we understood just how ridiculous the prices were.
