Hello Manga updates forum. First off I would like to say thanks for taking the time to read this. This is my first post on MUF but I have used the forum and site to look for manga for over the last three years. And I’ve pretty much read almost every manga out there. Sorry I don’t have a Manga list. If I did it would be atleast 500+ series read. Sorry for my bad grammar/spelling in advance (tried my best).

What I am looking for now is a manga that is about a Strong male lead that protects his romance interest with some kind of super power (supernatural). I would love to read a manga that the Male lead isn’t a wimp and indecisive. I don’t like love triangles or harems too much since I feel the take away some sort of value from the manga. I hate when the male lead gets beat up by females unless he did something ecchi (I mean like peeping or groping).

I prefer if it was Male x Female. And the male is Bad ass in some way to protect his women from harm.

NO Yaoi / yuri / Ai’s or gender bender. Mature + ecchi is a plus but not a requirement
Manga that I liked that sorta fit what Im looking for (in no order):


Samurai Usagi (hes not so “bad ass” but I find the male lead can fits because he protects his wife)
Pretty Face (not super natural enough male lead, but he is strong )
Magico ( Male lead protects his wife )
The Legend of Maian (I like where this series is heading, i just wish the male lead was a bit more strong tho)
High school of the Dead (Male lead is good and strong, but I wish more romance which I guess is coming)
Immortal Regis+seq Cavalier of the Abyss (very good just wish the romance was a little more part of the plot, but the male leads are very strong and B.A.)
Zetman (I havn’t read the newest chapters but the romance from this don’t really fit so far, but the male is very strong lead.)
Breaker + new waves (both very good. Just wish there was more parts were the male lead protects his romance interests.)
Freezing ( I think the male will fit this if the manga keeps progressing )
Koukaku no Regios: Missing Mail ( just added this one, I liked the first three volumes of this series the male was very strong and it has a lot of potential for romance between the two leads.)

Wolf Guy: he is a werewolf. It has some naked scene , if you don't mind. It's still a good read, though.
Blood lad: he is vampire, trying to resurrect a girl.
Kure-nai
Kanata Kara
Superior: he is a hero who has duty to slay demon queen.

I know you don't want harem, but I think Hayate no Gotoku is pretty good and hilarious. He is unbelievably strong (due to his way of living), and unlike male lead in other harem manga, he is not a perv. Well, you can give it a try

Rave Master it's the first thing that came to my mind : )
In my opinion it's one of the best action-romance manga + Haru definitely protects Elie almost all the time ; ]

Thanks for replying, I have read both Blood lad and Wolf guy till current released chapters. Both are very good and fit well.

Going to try kure-nai and kanata kara.

I started rave master a year ago, I don't think I finished it I might give that another read some time.

Hayate no gotoku was interesting but i felt that when I first started reading back when there was only 60 or so chapters that the manga felt a little immature. I'm not really a big fan of Gag mangas since its always lead to the male lead getting beat senseless.

I am working on Updating my manga list as much as I can, if it helps any. If anyone else has any other suggestions feel free to share

Yes those are all very good! Ive read the beginning of them. Samurai Deeper kyo I still haven't finished but I think it could of used more romance elements to make it even better

I will have to re-read the Dance in the Vampire Bund series since its been a while since I've last picked it up. From what I remember it should fit.

Aflame Inferno I only read a bit of this so I could be/remember wrong
Shi ga Futari o Wakatsu Made does it count? There is not really much of a romance at least until I read it but still...

Debatable ones:
Chrno Crusade debatable and she's usually more badass than him though :/
Alive debatable but I'm gonna throw it anyway

Ive completed Hoshi no Samidare, it was very interesting and it also sorta fits but sadly it was not what I was looking for.

I'm a little behind on Aflame Inferno, but I have seen that series, I'm not so sure on the romance in it. Shi ga futari o Wakatsu Made is a good supernatural/action But from what I hear the romance hasn't really started yet. Some people think there will be some later at the end of the series. Code breaker is good for supernatural but the romance elements weren't really there for me Ive only read till chapter 90-95 though so It might be worth picking up again (probably once a few more volumes come out).

Alive doesn't fit the "protect your women" theme I'm looking for. It is a good series and I have read it many times confusing it for something I haven't read.

Well if anyone has any more suggestions I still would love to hear some.
