I usually use nicosound if i wanna show people the videos/get the songs. But was too lazy that day since i'll need to explain how to do so.

Speaking of Deep Sea Girl, Nobunaga's cover is a total killer. I didnt even like the original song until i heard her!

I listen to a lot of vocaPop(which is strange since i dont do normal pop much), mainly the stuff they wrote with Kaito in mind. I find that when they tune him properly he has one of the most amazing voicebanks. His magnet "duet" when he harmonises made me swoon. UsaP and his latest Jougen no Tsuki is breathtaking too. Gumi is cool too.

that nicosound trick is what every vocaloid fan should know (song ID)

thank fo suggesting Nobunaga's cover
I didn't know about (right now I'm not browsing other Utaites)

about Kaito because of some PV his image of Comical character stuck on my mind
so most of the time I didn't take him seriously as a vocaloid
well just a suggestion but you must already know natsuP 背徳の記憶~The Lost Memory~ ?

I'm a fan of MEIKO (along with MEITO and Meiko Sakine) and VY2 Yuma. i'm not that really up to date with the rest. though i enjoy some duets and choruses sometimes, but these two are probably my favorites. specially the very first MEIKO. ♥

Mew is kinda cool too.

I love every vocaloid because each one is individual.

I love Gumi Megpoid because her voice is so soothing and sounds fairly realistic compared to the other Vocaloids. (:

There are so many things to like about vocaloids. There are different songs that I like from different vocaloids. I tend to favor Len, Kaito, Rin, & Gumi though.

What do you guys think about Maika, Kokone, and the new tsundere twins Anon and Kanon?

I personally think Kokone is ok but from the demos I've heard she really isn't anything special so far.
Maika is a Spanish vocaloid and she has a pretty good voice bank. She's been a new favorite of mine since before she came out. Just listen to Cruz de navajas.
Anon & Kanon, from the one demo I've heard, sound promising.

there is a new Utaite database site calledUtaitedb
it's still growing, and may not contain all the covers & vocalists
the others are still on vocadb.net

Just took a glance at both those sites, they seem really unorganized and missing a lot of information compared to Utaite Wikia

Already tried that site, but most of the time it gives me a 404 error or doesn't work at all.

nicomimi stopped working, maybe after the news of the owner of nicosound arrest bigrazz

about vocadb.net it's been a long time since Utaites were banned there.
utaitedb.net was created as an alternative to that.
you're right about missing stuff, but that's due the recent creation of that site
also why bother with vocadb.net and utaitedb.net:
1. because they are user created content.
sure wikis are the same, but there any regular user can create new entries very fast
2. all informations are linked, because it's a relational database, so you can browse from song -> artist -> other songs -> circles -> other artists, faster than wikis
3. all information is indexed, so you can search for less known artists song, that other wise are left without any entries on wikis
4. scalable, vocadb already have a huge number of songs/albums/artists that you can't find on other wikis, and it continues to grow daily.
maybe am biased because I'm using vocadb.net and also a trusted user there, but that's mu honest oppinion.

I'd be curious to know what made you think the sites, especially VocaDB, are unorganized, and what exactly did you try to find. It's impossible to cover all use cases, but we try to do our best and I'm eager to hear any constructive feedback, in case we could use that to improve the usability. It's relatively easy to change the layouts because the sites are based on a structured database.

UtaiteDB is still new, so it's understandable it's missing a lot of content compared to much older sites such as Utaite Wikia, but it's growing.

It's also important to note that VocaDB/UtaiteDB aren't meant to compete with those Wiki sites. Vocaloid/Utaite Wikia is the right place for extensive, detailed descriptions about artists, while VocaDB and UtaiteDB make it much easier to maintain and search large amounts of information.
