I hope it takes about a month in the story line and those Twilight ogre guys come back. Meanwhile Romeo finds at least Natsu, Grey and Erza and they show up as those Twilight guys are destroying the guild kick some ass and start a guild war to revive Fairy Tale and the rest show up over the course of the war.
I hope they haven't changed too much though, maybe a little older with some minor appearance changes but nothing drastic.

A pretty decent chapter to introduce the new arc. Oh man when those sketches of the missing FT members were shown and those guys started tearing up I could completely sympathize with them. I'd feel pretty depressed as well if I lost friends for 7 years and have the reputation of the guild drop so low.

Didn't liked it much... And I wasn't expecting Ichiya to be the one to say that they were still alive...
But I LOVED the fact that Bisca and Al have the same last name now

Fairy Tail is one of my top mangas but damn, that had got to be by far the worst chapter in the history of the series. It feels desperate, and really, just 250 chapters shy into the series it shouldn't need this drastic a reboot. There's also the 'WTF' moment of "it's been 7 years" and Zeref hasn't done anything big in that time? Maybe sniffer dude has been on a mission to go find Ezra's butt crack via his nose all this time (hey, it still does exist!)...

Heh, Zeref's a lazy guy, that's not much of a surprise. He probably disappeared into the goth scene and got old from doing too many drugs. There's only so many times you can pull another emo antagonist out of your backside, and the Mystogan-clone with stuff drawn on his face was better if you're into that kind of thing. More dragons needed.
That was disappointing though. Thought Fairy Tail was finally doing something unpredictable; Oh well..

Wait a minute.. after watching this weeks anime episode (100) i realized something so i went and checked to see if it was the same in the manga and it was... chapter 208 pg 9 it says that gildarts fried bixlow and a few others went back to the guild. so why are they among those who dissappeared? wouldnt they be safe

they didn't leave as you would see in chapters after 208, plus why are you ruining the manga/anime for yourself by even reading this thread?

thats because they come back to tenrou island after they see the enemy atack sign read a bit more and you will find it

Well in my opinion Fairy Tail sucked extremely hard before this timeskip. It felt like a wannabe One Piece but with a weak plot and weaker characters. All of arcs were too fast paced and sloppy. This timeskip was the first good thing that has ever happened to Fairy Tail (even though OP recently had its own timeskip).
This bold move by Mashima was totally unpredictable and definitely made it much more interesting then it was before. It's time for the tiny bit of unsolved mysteries we still have on the table to be revealed.
It just got real.

Imo, the point of the reset is to find out what's really happened in the past 7 years, and what we can look forward to in the future. So it's probably along the lines of "Zeref HAS done something but WE don't know it yet." rather than "Zeref's gotten married and had a family and renounced magic forever."
