i don't really care if the manga have animals or not except when it's needed i mean some manga definetly need animals and if they wasn't there thoses manga probably wouldn't make any sense.

I like dogs, normal dogs, but the mangaka sometimes write something to them and it seems like they talk. that's really cute. or cats and other normal non magical animals like that.

Kinda hard to answer this one since I'd pick almost all the options... Needs another choice: All the above (minus the last two). But if I had to pick a specific one it'd be fantasy creatures I guess :/ But as I said I like them all.

As long as the animals are well written and somewhat appealing looking it's fine.
I've read plenty of series where the animals are main characters as well as ones that are just filler pets, and so long as they do their job in the story it doesn't matter what kind of animals they are.

So to sum it up, I don't care.

P.S. The forum topic and the poll topic is kind of different, with the forum asking favorite animals in manga while the poll topic seems to imply what are your feelings about animals in manga. Perhaps changing the wording on the poll might synchronize the two a bit more?

I don't really care, but I decided to choose an animal anyway.
I like cats, so I went for them XD

I really love manga / anime (pretty much any kind of fiction) with animals in them; fantasy creatures and natural creatures, both sentient and non-sentient. I even like insects, snakes and the like. So 8th option for me.

BUT -- I don't like seeing humans with animal features (cat ears, dog tails, etc.) unless it's absolutely essential to the plot. Loveless is one of the rare manga for which I made an exception.

I would go with the third option.

Well, for me, it pretty much goes like this.. All of the categories technically apply because there are mangas that fit into the choices which I love.. I'm sure.. Although none come to mind specifically at this time. Therefore I am some what equal in standing with all of them, including manga without animals and therefore technically I don't care. bigrazz So I picked I don't care. x]]

Personally I'm indifferent but what I don't understand is that why do some anime and manga, in this case manga always usually have to include one little animal in the story? Like why do we need a dog in there like pun-chan who just walks around and looks cute? The point?

In my opinion, no literary creation is complete without a dog.
Not magical/half human ones. Just regular dogs.
Srsly, everything is much more epic with a dog.
It can only be a passing mentioning, or someone's pet, but there has to be a dog somewhere.
Unless it's a dead/dying/will die dog. In this case, I'll forever remain bitter towards the title.
But at least it had a dog. >____>;

Moe Cockroach is so moe though! X3
Kyaa...

I like the anthropomorphic ones (i.e. talking and/or human-like behaviors).... but that's not an option no half-human, half-animal is too ambiguous...
