It's not like I wasn't expecting Madara to be uber strong, but this is just so...
It's ridiculous that his retinas can just morph from Sharingan to Rinegan.
If he at least hard one of each eye, ugh nevermind I won't even bother anymore.

This ties up why Orochimaru was so obsessed with the sharingan, which has been going on since the chunnin exam. It was unexpected but ties right in to the story from when the Sage of Six Paths was brought up, his son had the sharingan and it was never stated the Sage started with the rinnegan from birth, the sharingan was already a part of rinnegan so I can't be mad because it makes sense in the verse. Now, if theres another power up say like depicted with the Juubi, the "sharinrennigan" looking eyes, I'll join the Kishi fell off the wagon movement but right now it just looks like the Sage might come again when Naruto gouges out Sasukes eyes and becomes the supreme ruler of the shinobi with his limited jutsu set.

Ehm i think Orochimaru was obsessed with it originally was because of its ability to copy making his life alot easier in "perfecting every jutsus in the world" that was his goal u know the reason ur giving now is in my opinion something Kishi just made suddenly, I dont think he planned on adding the upgraded version of Sharingan changes to Rinnengan when he started out.
But didnt Rinnengan change to what it was because he split his abilities among his sons? one had the body *flex* and energy of the sage and the other his ocular powers which might explain its degrading though it is possible that it was just a lesser version that hadnt gotten to the Sages level.
I dont think Naruto will gouge out Sasukes eyes given his obsession with getting him back and stuff

One question though...wasn't the sharingan just a bastardization of the Byakugan? I seem to remember someone saying that way back in the early chapters...so wouldn't that be the first step?
Honestly speaking, isn't the Byakugan kind of useless (especially compared to the sharingan)? "Yep, he's still over there behind that rock...I can see his chakra. Oh damn! He stabbed me with some sort of giant skeleton. I know it was him, because I can still see his chakra."
Anyways, if Naruto defeats Madara, wouldn't a fight with Sasuke be pointless? There is no way that he can be as powerful as Madara, so we would already know the difference in their strength.

worst part is that since they said sharingan upgrades to rinnegan then that means that they're gonna power up sasuke to rinnegan as well...more magical powers to the one character that does nothing to deserve it....can't wait ...ugh

How can you still say stuff like that after all these years of bullshit?
The last time Sasuke got his ass completely handed to him was when he fought Bee, but he wasn't able to use his stupid ass flaming skelleton thing (amaterasu was good enough to make Bee back off). Later he was able to own Raikage pretty badly and now he even has new eyes with 99% probability of new bullshitsu (believe it!).
All these eye users really piss me off... When Nagato and Itachi were revived they were definitely stronger than ever and were able to use their moves with much more freedom than ever. I still don't get why Nagato was able to use all the six path moves with his own body. I am pretty sure that it was made very clear each of those 6 bodies (paths of Pain) had his own skill because of chakra nature and what not. The jutsus were definately body-specific not eye-specific...

It is, but Kishimoto has either forgotten that or he just retconned it.
