I've read all of the chapters so far and i have to say that this is an interesting manga so far.

Kasuga is an idiot, at least concerning his initial problem: he could have burned the clothes or simply throw them away and discredit Nakamura, instead he let himself get manipulated. I agree with many that it's rather frustrating for a so called intellectual to be so moronic and an overall wimp. But after reading the 3rd volume i understand him much better now. He's a loner. Yes he has friends, but he has nobody to talk to. He says he cannot stay in the city, he's tired, he wants to move to a better, more cultured place. More than that he wants to escape normality at all costs. That's why i believe he's so desperate to stick with Nakamura. His desire to escape normality goes to such an extreme that he's willing to become a slave and a masochist, even if he doesn't want to admit it.

Nakamura (i think that's her name) is so far a complete sociopath. I've seen something similar in Trickster, but not to such extreme. I can't help but to wonder if some sort of trauma is at stake, maybe she was molested or something like that. Maybe she's just crazy.

Then there's his girlfriend, the one who is willing to accept him at all costs, even after all the crazy things he did.

It's a tricky lot.

I've read a comment somewhere with spoilers of the 4th volume. And let me tell you: things get a little more crazy.

I think it's obvious things will end badly for them when the manga is done, the main question is how. Nevertheless i'm a bit disappointed at how things turned out. I wanted both of them to go on a rampage throughout the world, especially after seeing them holding hands. Like a sociopath, psychopath couple. That's something i haven't seen yet in manga, maybe it exists somewhere. Those 3, or maybe it's just 2, will go on a downward spiral. It's cruel, especially what he had to do, but he got himself in those situations. I'm curious about how will everything turn out.

It's been ages since your post but I thought I would add something as I was reading this again just recently. Kasuga's initial reactions aren't that far off real life, if you are responsible for something and are accused most people are going to panic, and at least initially follow blackmail. However generally they will break free of it pretty quickly if there is no threat to life, and yes burn the clothes.

It is actually important that he doesn't burn the clothes though, and not simply to progress the story. It is showing that deep down Kasuga is exactly what Ms Psychopath is accusing him of being, a complete pervert. More so than most people, this is indicated by his further actions, not only does he not get rid of the clothes immediately, he in fact doesn't get rid of them at all. Ms Psychopath actually never forbids him from destroying the clothes, it is his choice to keep them. He seals them in a box which he hides, he actually wants to keep them so badly.

So all in all I think the two of them are a great match. biggrin

Now that I think about it, it's really too bad we never learn what has become of that box! Although he did say he threw away his books, might have mentionned something about the rest of the bookshelf.
