Well, here's some back ground information first.
Obsession Scans was started on October 24, 2011, and currently has 6 ongoing projects. These projects are Ouji ka Prince, Akuma to Love Song (Devil and her Love Song), Ninku, Higaeri Quest, Sorairo Kaigan (Sky Blue Shore), and Beauty!! (Although this might be dropped soon and replaced with Maria Ppoino!). Ouji ka Prince is the only joint project at the moment (Joint with Within Silence Scanlations), though if any other group is interested, you may make inquires at [b]

We have about 10 active staff at the moment, so sadly, we only release every couple weeks or so. We are in a great need of staff members to help push these projects along!
Here are the open spots at the moment, for each individual project:

At Obsession Scans we let you pick the projects you get to work on, although if the position is filled we'll have to reassign you to another project. If a spot opens up, though, you'll most likely be able to move over to that project.
If you don't know anything about any of these projects, just feel free to apply and we'll assign you a project.

We do not require staff members to have experience, although if you are aspiring to be a staff member there are a few things certain jobs require..:

-----Translators (both Japanese and Chinese) are required to have the ability to translate Japanese/Chinese text into the English language. Your grammar and spelling skills are not required to be perfect, because there will be a proofreader to help fix up the errors. For any language students, it would be a helpful way to practice your English/Chinese/Japanese skills. And other than that, the only other thing you need is to have is Microsoft Word, or any other application you can open up documents in. (If you don't have this, you can still contact us, since we'll try to figure something out)

-----A Translator is exactly as the name states, a translator. They will look at the raws supplied and translate it over from the language on the raws into the English language. Grammar and spelling do not have to be perfect!
-----A Proofreader is someone who proofreads the script that the translator will supply. They correct grammar and spelling mistakes, as well as reword or rewrite any parts of the text as needed.
-----A Cleaner is someone who takes the supplied raws, crops them (when needed), rotates them to make them straight (when needed), levels them, cleans off all text in the raws as well as SFX (though cleaning off the SFX is optional), and removes any dust or particles that may have been scanned onto the raws.
-----A Typesetter is someone who takes the proofread script, the cleaned raws, and add the text onto it (according to the script).
-----A Quality Checker is someone who takes the typeset scans, and then looks through them for any mistakes that may have been made (such as a typo or a spot of dust left uncleaned) and then fixes them. They then save the scans into a .png format from its original .psd format.
