So you are saying a fantasy place, which could be anything you can think of (it's not called fantasy for nothing), is more scary than the actual world we all share?
Note that a fantasy world could also be exactly like the real world but without, for example, manga. (though this would also be a 'realistic' world).

Reality. Easier to understand (because we live here) and no risk of getting eaten by some thing. Plus, all my dreams are pertaining to the reality. I never dream of living in some far-off fantasy world.
