Hello,
I am currently trying to revive two of my websites "Iris" (http://www.cosmosstudio.net/spiral) for the "Sprial: Suiri no Kizuna" manga and "Watase's Sorai" (http://www.yuuwatase.org) for just about any of her untranslated works.... We mainly need translators (Japanese>English), but we might also eventually need cleaners and editors. If interested, you can reply here or e-mail me directly, senshi_cosmos@hotmail.com ...Thank you!

Hey,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I'm completely new here so I wasn't sure where to post these questions/comments...

First, I know this site states that Tokyopop is the US publisher of Spiral, but I've heard from an admin from their message boards awhile back that informed me they lost the license negotiations with Square Enix back in late '05 or early '06 and currently had no plans to further pursue the title, soooo I was hoping someone could revise the info on the page. Secondly, (this is related to my first comments) I was wondering if the fact that Spiral was believed to have been licensed by Tokyopop is the reason that its scanlations were stopped... or if they're just taking some time to update for the next ones and they haven't been stopped? Lastly, I was wondering if anyone knew of any other US publisher who might be vying for Spiral's license at this time?

Thanks for any help/answers in these areas. biggrin

This IS the wrong place to ask, but I'll answer your questions anyways.

Because you are a registered member, YOU can edit any series page and you don't even have to request someone else to do it for you! Just help yourself and revise the info.

You're talking about Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna, correct? If you didn't notice, that series is still being scanlated. In general, it's considered "polite" or "correct" to stop scanlating once a series is licensed, but this of course doesn't always happen.

For the possible license, no one knows for sure unless they work in the company. There has been no other announcements about the licensing of this series at this time.
