This guy probably only interested in telling us stories about the process of the male lead trying to get the female lead, and he has no interest in telling us how they end up. Just look at Pretty Face and Mx0. Both series ended with their relationship hanging.

Yeah, it looks to me like the author does not really want to do romance stories. If he is not serious about them, maybe he should just stick to pure comedy.
But I think he does good romance stories. Maybe it's exactly because he puts in an element that is fantastical.
I guess he could easily tell other type of stories. But there's nothing wrong with a story where he focuses on the people's relationship while the story not being exclusively about it.
I enjoyed both Pretty face and MxO exactly how they were with the exception of the rushed ending to the latter. Basically there might be an audience for exactly his type of thing.
