Ask them to meet you in the Park. Once you're sure they're there, then its time to dash to them, jump up to the pull-up bar, and do a pull up while asking them out!

In reality the best way to break the ice and ask someone out is the simplest way. Tell them you're interested in them in a casual manner, or just say you'd like to hang out sometime. Don't sound desperate, and don't make it sound like you're pulling all your lines straight from a book (as in what you're saying is scripted.) The more you do it, the easier something like that gets.

I'd still go for the pull-up though, it'd be priceless.

Best way to ask someone out is to avoid the whole 1 on 1 date thing. If there is a party or event, or a group of people going to a movie or show together. Aske the other person if they want to go, but to go with you as your guest. Then there is no "date pressure" and you can avoid awkward silenes and weird conversation because other people will be around. Make sure you do "date things" though, like give this person most of your attention and pay their dinner or drinks or whatever. Make sure they know that they are there cuz you wanted them there, not just cuz they are another person at the party.
