In chapter 205 Yakumo acted strange. She has never behaved like taht before, she has never been that agressive.

I wanted to ask if do you think that Yakumo has entered the battle for Harima with Eri or not. Have she finally decided fight for her love?

Of course she hasn't entered the "battle" for Harima. She's still very naive about love.

I'm not sure if I didn't notice it before or something but Yakumo w/ long hair rocks.

Well, in the vertical notes it was said that the old rivalry was revived, so we can expect something like that.

And BTW, Yakumo comeback is something important. The last chapters were very episodic and not really fun at all, maybe yakumo can hit Harima in the face and make him progress.

The old rivalry bit was a question. Those side notes were always a little vague (albeit funny)... does anyone have a better description of the side notes?

I think we can belive this side note. At least becouse here it has no joking/funny meaning.

And look at her face at the last picture. She is very serious.

What about that "Harima-san loves shrimp". She is saying that to prove that Eri has no idea of what Harima really loves. Adn she, Yakumo, does know.

The fact that she is still naive (i agree with that) doesn't prevent her from fighting. It just means that she might get hury duting fight (mentally i mean) and will learn new things about love during it. Which will couse her charcter development.

And yeah, long hair rocks biggrin

I dunno, i thought that incident where she was a cat was quite aggressive, though it could be interpreted different ways. But, i doubt Yakumo would actually decide to enter the fray, because she knows who Harima really likes (in the anime it was more obvious, but you can tell in the manga too). Unless there's some strong third-party support, i don't think she would do anything on her own like sawachika did.

I didn't think about the comment that way, quite an interesting interpretation. I thought it was for a more shallow reason, to despell any doubts about Harima liking her. Kind of like "what you see is what you see, there's no ulterior motive", Harima just likes shrimp is all. They didn't make it too clear whether or not sawachika knew the shrimp was... enhanced, they just stated that Yakumo was cooking for Harima, and he was eating her cooking.

If she was that past Yakumo, who is just "extremely nice" and don't act on her own no matter what then you are true. But i think taht her character has developed through series (just like Sawachika's) and now she is ready to act on her own. Even if she knows that Harima likes Tenma she also knows that Tenma have no feelings for Harima - that means that path is open. Only Eri is on the way, which just means that Sawachika must be overcomed. New, developed Yakumo is capable of that.

That cat episode and her running away might be interpret in two ways:
1) She tried to prevent Harima from going to Eri's house
2) She just ran away becouse she couldn't see the scene of Harima being that fiendly to her rival.
I myself think taht it is first. This is the first action of developed Yakumo, her first try to act on her own. And she succeeded.

I think that phrase has more complicated reason. It is too show taht Sawachika has no chanses in taking Harima. And that Yakumo can do that.

I felt she liked him from the very beginning. The only reason that it isn't open is because she know Harima likes Tenma.

she didn't like him from the begining, she was only drawn to him because he's the one person she can't hear the thoughts of (see earlier chaters). There was also the same love for animals that made her want to talk to him about which they never got a chance to. It took a long time for her to develop any sort of actual feelings (the recent chapters, around 200ish) towards harima.
Although i doubt she'll be making a super strong effort, but she's more aware of her own feelings now..

The cat deal I think was just yakumo being nice trying not to get in the way of Eri and Harima, but felt relieved when Harima went after her. That's what i got from it.

the other situation is the whole Eri and Tenma thing, that's gonna be interesting...
