I know this manga is episodic and all, but its been running for a very long time that its plot should at least progressed.

I stopped reading this manga since ages ago, and I've been thinking of picking it up again(since I ran out of things to read)

but before that I just want to know if there any progress at all before picking it up again.

Is he any closer to gaining he's body back?
Is the organization still as vague as ever? the like

This story is meant to be long, but there is some improvements. They reveal certain information about the organization, but still manage to keep it vague. The final arc will probably be a confrontation between Shinichi and the organization. So unless the manga is ending soon, no way in hell that is happening. And the author still manages to keep the story interesting so you should give it a read still

so from chapter 360 to 801 ain't just some random murder mystery but actual hints or tidbits that actually drives the plot?
If so, I could live with that.

Ultimately, you'll probably end up disappointed. I am, but I still keep reading, cause even though PLOT moves at a snails pace, it's still manages to be entertaining.

I'd say it's 60% episodic, 30% character development, and 10% plot. The plot usually has hints here and there (like a suspicious recurring character is involved in a case), but the best thing is when the big plot arcs start. These arcs occur somewhat rarely, but when they do, they tend to last many chapters, with high tension and long-awaited revelations.

As for Conan being closer or not to getting his old body back...He's certainly closer than before, though it's mostly only apparent during the plot arcs. But it doesn't seem like he'll get his body back anytime too soon.

I agree to that biggrin biggrin and there are episodes or chapters that he turns back to shinichi then return to conan though...

Not really. I can't imagine there being anymore serious plot development until they actually focus on getting him back to being Shinichi. I mean, they've slowly acquired all the info they need now they just need to act on it. It's probably how they're going to end the series (the last arc) so they're just doing the usual until they feel like ending it, I guess.

But at the end of the day, I really like murder mysteries so it still manages to keep me entertained.
