I want to read a historical romance something like red river. I was really intrigued by red river's story and the addition of romance in it, i loved it! any suggestions would be great, thank you!

it's late and i'm too lazy to give a synopsis for all of them so I'll just group them...

very long/ overflowing with drama (most like Red River)
Bride of the Water God
Legend of Nereid
Ryou
Goong (not really historical, but korea still has a monarchy and is very traditional- you barely notice unless there's a TV in the room)

Tsuki no Shippo and Tsuki no Toiki Ai no Kizu are lighter. The former is the sequel to the latter but it's better and more comedic, imo.

a bit more shounen-y, more fighting, less "no, don't leave me, I'll die w/o you!" drama
Amakusa 1637
Saver

everything else that is not like Red River at all but historical romance
Yukarism
A Kiss to the Prince
Sarasah
Knight Princess
NG Life.... <.< oh dear, this isn't even historical... i've completely diverged from the goal no :sigh: but try it anyway it ties into history and the past plays a HUGE part in everything since the main guy can remember his past life

let meh see..
k try
Akagami no Shirayukihime
Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen
Dream of Loulan Kingdom (i dropped it but you might like it)
Reimei no Arcana
Ouke no Monshou (very alike. the girl got transport back in time [this time it's egypt] n she marry to the king. people believe she is the daughter of the Nile. everyone try to get her. the antagonist is the one that bring her back in time. the king is less likable in this manga. the girl in not physically strong but she is strong.)
None of these can compete against Red River, but gave them a try. very good story line n all the girls r strong in some kind of way. most of the countries are not real. all shoujo
