Not literally, k?

Uhm... I'm looking for a protag, preferably female, that knows/sees people's impending death because of signs or whatever. Signs as in kinda Final-Destination-knowing. Seen those movies?

A plus: She kinda detaches herself from other people cause she's afraid that if she gets too close, they'd start dying on her.

Characters with this ability:

Amane Misa from Death Note.

Also Mitchiru Kita from Zombie Loan.




I'm not big on drama, and tragedy. I love Shounen, but Shoujo with a not-emotional crybaby for a heroine is tolerable.

No H, Yaoi or Yuri.
I hate Harem, but if it's a really really good one I might give it a try.

If there's no other protag like this, then at least a love interest of the hero in a shounen series.

kieli is the only one that i can think fits your description to a T. Aside from those there is Yurara no Tsuki Natsume Yuujinchou and anything from CLAMP always has supernatural/spiritual stuff

Those three's description says "They can see ghosts."

Iris Zero Doesn't fit all your criteria, but I think it bears mentioning. Almost all kids/teens have an "iris" power, different for each person. One of the secondary characters sees black butterflies that gather around someone in danger of death, increasing in numbers as the danger increases. Though he is not the mc, he gets lots of screentime, and his power comes into play, particularly in the most recently scanlated completed arc.

It doesn't fit 100% (maybe only about 25%, really), but Sarashi Asobi is about a (male) grim reaper who sort of plays with the people who's souls he's about to collect.

Can't really describe it too well, but some of the elements you talked about (detachment, strong female) appear too.

The best i can come up with for you is Land of the Blindfolded . The female protag can see the future when she touches someone [Most times, it's an accident].

Hmm...Tohno Shiki from Tsukihime sort of counts, in a way. He sees death in general, but not specific times. Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai has the same ability, but fits your description better because she's much more detached from people.

Both of them are something of a stretch, but check them out if you're interested.

Kurosagi Shitai Takuhaibin not exactly "see" dead people, but more like "communicate" with them. The manga's brilliant though, worth a try.

Mana - it's been a while since I read it, so it might not exactly fit, but close enough that I think you ought to try it. The main character is a regular girl who acquires supernatural powers and becomes an exorcist. She is accompanied by a ghost. The story is episodic until it shifts to focus more on romance.
