sigh, it finally happened...wonder how the story will go from now on. A 100yr time jump would be too sudden, but a story without Asuna wouldn't be exciting anymore.

They'll bring her back. I just know it. She's the main heroine after all. And also, there's the promise that they're all supposedly gonna meet again. Since this isn't a 'Tragedy' manga, you can just expect that it will actually go that way.

As for the story, I sense a long time gap, ranging maybe from 2-5 years. Negi will get lots stronger, and also the rest of the cast. Then something big will happen (I'm betting something will happen to Asuna) and all of them will be summoned again.

you know i think that she will appear the day after she left like nothing saying told you we would see again to everyone and such...

my idea is this... since chao its from 100 years in the future she WILL be there and time travel is possible since she traveled 100 years back to where negi was, why not do the same with asuna? =P that way you have this setting

Asuna went to sleep for 100 years, she wakes up and then chao send her back 100 years around the same date she left as a gift, so when she arrives in negi's time there would be 2 asunas, 1 sealed waiting to be awaken 100 years alter and another asuna that have already awoken that was sent to their present time guessing that asuna could make the 100 years sleep without interruptions...

I believe it was already mentioned by that glasses-lady that the future has changed. Meaning Chao may no longer exist in the current time line.

Hakase admitted that the copy of Chao's family tree that she showed the girls was a fake.

There's a different problem, even without that. The World Tree won't shine for another 20-something years.

Asuna hasn't been sealed yet. So something could happen within the next few hours to interrupt the sealing process, resulting in the final arc. It's fully possible that The Lifemaker, not Asuna, will end up being the one sealed.

As i said, to fix that it could be possible that from 100 years in the future after asuna wakes up they send her back in time to the period where the mahora tree had enough energy for her to arrive, meaning that she went in to hiding until the day she was put in to sleep to appear since it would be odd for her to show up when before she left, we have had time confusing things like 3 negis showing up at the same time during the mahora festival =P

Remember that chao came to mahora school 2 years before negi showed up, and that give us some hints, she came to mahora school and negis time at least 2 years before negi showed up at school, that means that asuna may necessarily appear around or before mahora festival and go incognito until the time is right.

Next to Sayo's picture in the class registry, it's scribbled "<3 relationship with headmaster". Does that mean she went out with Konoka's grandfather when she was still alive (1940)?

There was a hazy figure in the image of her Cosmo Entelecheia; that might have been the Headmaster. And I wouldn't say anything regarding the possibility of a former relationship. There's also the possibility that she fell for him as ghost, for example.

Also, I made a blunder with the World Tree thing. There is indeed no issue since Chao had gone back to a time it was not shining. However, after thinking about it, the eventuality of Asuna returning via time travel still seems unlikely to me, simply from a storytelling view. It will be an asspull and too much of a mood whiplash after the previous few chapters.

(it would be truly intresting something else but just to kill off all the other girls and charakters after spending 350 chapter to imrpove them to make them stronger and intodruce them

to see what hast become of everybody how they lifed without asuna
how strong they've got
and then something happens and asuna awakes way earlyer then she is supposed to...

i hope negi will get a bit older maybe about 15 (like with his pils ) so asuna can feel more confortable with him...

but like i sad before a 100 year timejump would be something else
something new and intressting....
even thought i'm not totaly sure i want that^^

this is ken akamatsu we're talking about. he won't become lagendary if the story is easy to guess. that said, he seems to be taking a lot of research vacation =by the end of last arc (probobly/ hopely to istanbul). i sure hope the next one is entertaining, probobly searching for his father in istanbul.
maybe asuna will reappear there as the villain from the future with a lot of complicated reasons

or considering the fact that yue are going to study in the magic world, chachamaru becoming a secretaty, etc etc the story might just end with the class members totally going their own way

by the way, in the last arc(magic world), asuna is somehow dimmed compared to the other girls eg chachamaru and chiu-chan

true if this manga was this predictable it woudn't be so awesome...

but normaly the mangaka don't anounce a time jump more then a chapter before it happens so i possible that something will go wrong...

i like the idea with istanbul since he mentioned it before if could be that he will travel there
