It's a shame you don't like BL, since Ilegenes has the most beautiful art I've ever seen. It's only suggested romance, so that's up to the reader to depict.
There's Karneval, but there's no actual romance.
Kuroshitsuji also has gorgeous art, but there's no romance, and it's not in exactly a fantasy world.

CLAMP
--I second Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.
--Chobits
--Kobato
Shouoto Aya
--Barajou no Kiss
Pandora Hearts
Sono Mukou no Mukougawa (Art is alright, but everything else fits--though it ends in tragedy)

If you don't mind it being a manhwa, The Bride of the Water God has really beautiful artwork. I also second Otoyomegatari.

Arata Kangatari
Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden
Akatsuki no Yona
Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken - not really a fantasy manga, but I highly recommend it
Vampire Knight

I can only recommend one of my favorites! Id: http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=2824

The artwork starts out good, and gets better and better. You can see the artwork improve through-out the series, and it has some of the highest detail fight scenes I've seen. It fits what you requested to a T.
It's in a fantasy world with adventure, hints of romance, and a group traveling together.

Try Noblesse. The art is really great, though the setting is more sci fi, near future than traditional fantasy.

+Anima also has good artwork and has a fantasy setting where the characters travel/go on adventures.

You might also like Claymore for that reason as well.

However, those three mangas don't have much in the way of romance.

The art of Nurarihyon no Mago isn't as impressive as Noblesse, +Anima, or Claymore, but the artist often uses a traditional Japanese ink brush style to do his drawings, which is quite cool. Also, this one does have romance, and it's the kind you like: subtle, slow buildup, but definitely there.

Definitely everything by Yuki Kaori.
Still the standard of beautiful and detailed Art in shoujo, imo.

yay, so many more replies!! =)

Ok, SilverLux: i love Siesta i actually just read the new chapter. Cant wait to see what happens! I haven't read Rure, but I will now. =)

Hanae: I read a few chapters into Vinland Saga, and I'm really liking it so far. 7 Seeds also seems really intresting. So thank you for the two!

Master of Shikigami: I watched the anime of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle although it was some time ago, I think I got to the end.. Anyway, I thought it was sweet, and kinda sad; but what really annoyed me was how the re-used the minor characters. I know there was a reason and all that, but i thought that after a couple of times the same person showed up, I felt it lost some of it's individuality. And thats why I'm not in any particular rush to pick up the manga, Sorry. =(
I have also read Merupuri , and started reading Vampire Juujikai ages ago, but for some reason I stopped, but I think I'll pick it back up again, Thank You for reminding me! =)

Lorska: both Spice and Wolf & Akagami no Shirayukihime are both brillant and cute, Thank You.

ShadowSakura: Arata Kangatari seems really cool, Thanks.

Baniita: Pandora Hearts & Karneval, are in my favourites! Nai is literally the cutest thing I have ever seen. I just want to squeeze him. And Oz, I do adore. =)

irinake: I alwasy come across Bride of the Water God, but I think I'll finally start reading it, thank you.

fallenlich: Id seems really good, Thanks. =)

brid: Nurarihyon no Mago was lost in my Wish List, thank you for helping me find it again. I have also read Noblesse It really is brillant!

Thank You to everyone who replied, hehe, I didn't think I would get so many. All of them should keep me going for awhile.
But if anyone has any more, I would be greatfull to hear them. =)

Then I'll suggest a few more that focus on natural scenery:

- Ef - A Fairy Tale of the Two. (supernatural/fantasy(?))
- IO (supernatural; underwater mystery)
- The World God Only Knows (different kind of fantasy, similar to ef)
- Pastel
- Otogi no Machi no Rena

While I consider most of what I read to have good artwork, they usually focus on romance, but you seem to be looking for the 'adventure' type more, like H.O.T.D. or Battle Royale.

Second Otoyomegatari, the art is pure awesomeness. The author describes some middle east' tribes's lifestyle from the 19th century, from their clothing to embroidery and cooking.

I also recommand Adekan if you don't mind slash comedy. I don't know how the hell could the author could have had the time and patience drawing such refined and amazing drawings. The word is a sort of medley of feodal Japan and China, and it also seems to be inspired from steampunk.

Shin Angyo Onshi
Jackals
Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä
Mugen no Juunin
Ubel Blatt
Id
Saver
Claymore

You could try Berserk, but the story is extremely gritty and contains mature themes. Also all works from Igarashi Daisuke are imaginative and well drawn. And for something that's completely awesome and has gritty art Dorohedoro is the best choice.
For superb artwork chek out stuff from Takehiko Inoue, Katsuhiro Otomo, Inio Asano, Ryoichi Ikegami, Tsukasa Hojo and Makoto Yukimura.
