where he can be the laziest person alive yet sometimes become so hyper-active (in case of gaston when he is inventing something near-useless or playing things he shouldn't, like playing go-kart in a circuit that he made by himself inside the office...)

i'm looking for a comedy where the main character is lazy and only active when it comes to self amusement

are you saying that there's no mc of a story(manga, novel, film) out there whom is lazy and only active when it comes to self amusement except gaston? or there is a title of a story called 'no one'?

Hmm... The first MC that comes to my mind at the moment is Kagami from Denpa Kyoushi.
He sorta fills that description, I think...

? What part of nobody like Gaston do you understand? regardless if you want a character that occasionally exhibits extreme manly-ness Sora No Otoshimono's Tomoki has his moments, when he switches out of chibi form.

I don't know Gaston, so my suggestion might be way off, but the main character of Gintama, Gintoki, might fit. He will do anything to secure the latest copy of Shounen Jump, but most of the time, unless forced to do work or fight, he lazes around picking his nose, and I mean that literally.

I know very well who Gaston is but I don't know any manga which is like the BD...

2° How about Eatman, i wont deny that is far for what you are looking but he is lazy and only does things he wants to, also Aiki. The problem is that when a character is lazy in a manga it end up growing up in the middle of the history (not happening in Aiki tough, but is an action manga)

If you haven't, you might want to try reading GTO, all of it, prequels and sequels.
