I wonder if it would be possible to add the "listing" of Categories in group details - just like it is with genres right now~~
Genres
Main genres this group scanlates.
Action (17), Seinen (15), Drama (13), Supernatural (11), Shounen (11), Horror (9), Psychological (8), Mystery (7), Comedy (6), Sci-fi (5), Adventure (4), Tragedy (4), Ecchi (3), Romance (3), Slice of Life (2), School Life (2), Fantasy (2), Mature (2), Sports (1), Martial Arts (1)
Categories
Main categories this group scanlates.
Survival (15), Play or Die Situation (10), Strong Male Lead (5), Strong Female Lead (4), Ambitious Protagonist (6), Corruption (3), Crime/s (6), Dead Master (1), Detective/s (2), Gang/s (4), Law and Order (6), Police (1), Police Officer/s (1), Revenge (2),
etc....
of course since the list would be enormous it would have to be shortened by placing here only categories with enough "weight" - enough people aproved of them - or something like that
what do you think?

Or it could be the other way round, you know...
Like, for example... under the genre Action = so-n-so groups scanlate Action-based manga
Under the genre Seinen = so-n-so groups scanlate Seinen-based manga
Like that.
It'll be easier on people (like me, lol) who want to join up a particular scanlation team that scanlates only a particular genre of manga that I like.

Yeah.... that would be nice too.... something to "segregate" groups acording to their main focus.... an tool to search through them / choose that way.

 good suggestion.I guess they should only do it for scanlation groups who are active because there is no meaning to add those groups who aren't doing any scanlation now

Part of this has been implemented ... it just shows a count of categories as long as the votes for that category > 0 for the series...
Not sure about the whole tool to search groups thing though...

imho, that just rewards groups for scanlating more manga. Having twenty action series when they've scanlated fifty series shouldn't mean anything, but they'll get displayed over a small group that does solely action manga.
A percentage also wouldn't work because a group that works on only one series will have 100% action series, for instance.

Requesting the ability to turn this off, please. The categories are often spoilers, and so it was the right call to let us hide them in the series' pages. Now that they're displayed somewhere else, we should be allowed to hide them there as well.
