As a reminder, please vote in our mascot polls!
A fairly typical poll about how obsessive you are with anime/manga (with some creativity on the choices, haha). Credit goes to member Dubby for the specific choices.
You can discuss the poll here: http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=5760

I guess most of us are too embarrassed to do much with cosplay, eh? (Including me actually...)

I don't think they call that being embarrassed
In my eyes MOST of them ruin the character I love so much

I'm not embarrassed at the idea of doing cosplay, I just think the whole thing is a bit...ridiculous and slightly obsessive with a character. There's a time and place for everything and its called Halloween. Sorry.

Maybe I should have put this in the thread. I wouldn't mind cosplaying - you just have to let go of yourself and go on a random drug-free high. I bet you that if I had the time and skill to make a good costume beyone sheets with eye sockets that I would have done it by now.

Well it's crossed my mind but really, there's a (big) difference between really, really wanting to do something and actually *doing* something. It possibly saves a lot of regret (especially for things that came out of intense emotion like anger ).

And I forgot to add that if a person only *plans* for a long, long time to do it, I say the outlook is that the person is probably not going to do it.

lol, yeah, of the convention's I dragged myself to for some good laugh's and decent merchandise of probably over-priced value. I've yet to see a cosplayer that looked good in what they were imitating. Only good one's i've seen were in picture's, like Sai-san, that kid looked damn good as Kakashi. The outift itself was really realistic, did'nt look like plastic, all hand made and everything.
