Finally, we have had some contact from Hochuuami, and they have formally announced that they are closing their doors to the scanlation world. (As some of you know, their old domain expired and we lost contact with them...) They have also said that some of their old projects will be continued by Urusai!.

Officially announced on their old site at http://hochuuami.raygungeisha.com/

3 yaoi groups closed... I know a few others that will probably be next. T_T

I guess it was a given that Hochuuami was going to close. It's a pity too since they did such good work.

Is this becoming a trend?...
So many yaoi scan groups are closing... *runs away crying*

I knew it, i just knew it. Don't ask me how, but i knew it.

First ForeverMore, then DokiDoki and now Hochuuami. It's a conspiracy, i just knew it.

From what i see, i deducted it and came to the conspiracy conclusion.

It started with ForeverMore contacting DokiDoki and chatted happily. Then suddenly the talk to close down the group came up. And that's how it started. Simple beginning for the end.

The two group said "hey, how about we talk about the problem with other groups and see how they feel" and that was a bad choice, at least in the eyes of yaoi fangirls. The contacted groups, and they all agreed. And the next simple step was deciding which group goes first. Therefore...

ForeverMore disappeared-- since they started it, leaving us a lonely sentimental feeling, and their lovely site.
The DokiDoki disappeared-- since they were the group to second the motion. Disappeared along with not only yaoi, but also some lovable shoujo works.
And now Hochuuami-- the next on the list to choke us.

They did the conspiracy good so far, but now it is too obvious. To all other yaoi scanlation group, please hear me out: Do not take us for fools, you cannot pat us on our back and give us smiles of gods/goddess, then abandoning us! You gave birth to us yaoi fangirls/boys (ok, that's not technically true, but...meh), you gave us life (...) so don't take it away from us. You don't see parents abandoning their own children, do you? Boo-hoo.

~Please note, i' not serious about the conspiracy part. Just adding a dark sense of humour to comfort me from the pain and agony T-T

It's not like you're going to die. D: The scanlations of my favorite series can stop, and I wouldn't really care. It's a free service, to begin with.

I hold no obligation towards them to scanlate series for me or something.

Waaah, I'm devastated! So many great Yaoi scanlators closing down. I'm still hoping to wake up and realise it's just a very, very bad dream!

I wish them all happiness, though. And I thank them for all they've done for us crazy yaoi fans! Thanks a Zillion!

Maybe it's all an early April Fool joke.... u;_;u Not many groups releases alot of nice Shounen-ai and light Yaoi beside Houchuuami. They are a very nice group. They sound nice too even in email.

I'm not really surprised, they were gone a long time. At least they've put everything up on savefile.

I agree with no going to die part, though it hurts. They have been here online with us for how long? Of course it hurts to have some of the best yaoi scanlation groups disappearing on the fans. From what you commented here i must say you just have not reached the point of being loyal to groups, whom got together and spent their precious time sharing their hard work. It's like a simple "meh" coming from you, no feelings at all.

They were here before me, loving yaoi and sharing the love. It hurts to see my sempai from leaving. It's just normal for me (or some other fans) to wail it (the pain) out.
