I read Naruto. I've scanlated Bleach and Fruits Basket (I'm a guy with a liking for some shoujo). I enjoyed Dramacon (an Original English Language by TokyoPop). I was fine with the ending of Ichigo 100%...

Your comments brought smile to my face instantly. Agree. I believe most of the time the manga we pick up to read and continue is because of the story, not the genre. The taste of story also changes along the time. For example, personally, I wouldn't read Yaoi when I was at your age because I just couldn't take it. Now is a bit different. (I didn't imply that you will be like this one day.) At the end, judging people based on the manga they read is just not fair to those people at all.

i have to admit i look down at guys who read shojou but i have read a good number of girly manga myself...

PS @ lambchopsil: i didnt like the ending to Ichigo 100%.

Ichigo 100% had a somewhat original ending, which is good.
I didn't like it either, lol.

As you explained it's easy to get a wrong idea about a person judging by the kind of manga he/she reads. If the author is capable of doing a welldone job anyone can fall in love with his/her manga (or at least like to read it).

I try my best not to judge people after what they read. I do it after their attitude towards it... is that the same? Rofl!

is this new poll for pokemon or something? i feel like there are a few more elements than there should be...

If people judged me based on manga that I read...they wouldn't be able to do so since I never stick to one genre. I need to variate what I read or I would get bored quickly. Same goes with anime/movies/drama.

its not nice to have prejudices about anything and i liked to now that there aren't many people here that judges based on the manga.
PS: i liked the ending of ichigo 100%. it was the best end any other would be forced.

I am a guy that likes more of the idealized romance types specifically shoujo and often josei. I also like seinen sometimes and shounen as long as it is not too drawn out like bleach or naruto. I hate things like yaoi and for the most part yuri too. I am a straight male that does not really judge people by their manga mainly because I do not know people by their manga. I really enjoy Claymore and others that are similar so I am not a guy that goes for only one type of manga. I tend to like complete stories so that mite be a reason that I tend to read shoujo more seeing as they tend to be shorter and usually will finish faster.

not to mention it gives us the messeges of the story which i think is love is unexpected but blissful, and that you should never stop chasing your dreams. first one relating to the ending and the second relating to the development of the story as a whole and the ending in that nishino is the one that manaka falls for and the combination of both of them never stopping for their dreams leads to a happy ending... or something like that
