Aww... D: And Kimi ni Todoke is such a great manga too.
The demographics should be further split into the magazines meant for younger ages and the ones meant for older.

Antique Bakery is the best shoujo ever in my opinion (and in the experts opinions, since AB won the best shoujo prize in Japan). I can't believe it´s not in the poll.

Although I agree Mars was good, how do you know if Skip Beat is overrated if you haven't even read it? Prejudiced much... >_>
I'm with every other Skip Beat fanatic, it truly won my heart for having an awesome heroine!

Erm, I dropped it. <__>
I would actually want to see how many people would still vote for it once it's finish. The ending might or might not be good, who knows. >.>

but they give best shoujo manga awards every year. And that was only one company, there are other companies/organizations that give awards. :/ So there would be a ton of manga on the list...
(*If we went by the Kodansha manga awards for shoujo from 2000-2009 I still highly doubt Antique Bakery would win because Fruits Basket and Kimi ni Todoke would beat it out.
Also, the western* audience doesn't necessarily like the same as the Japanese audience. And to be honest Antique Bakery isn't as popular as the titles mentioned. Otherwise it'd been suggested.

Ah, shoujo really makes my head hurt. They're all pretty good... For about four volumes or so. Then the mangaka figure out that they can make more money if they continue the series for lord knows how long and that's when the stories start going bad. Now that I think about it, shounen is the same. lol. *hiss*

I hope so, it would be interesting to see what the favorites were in less mainstream genres.
All of them are shoujo and I liked most of them but the thing with me is that from all these only the 3 can be considered as shoujo. What I mean is that skip beat and host club even if they are shoujo the strongest trait is their comedy so I cant really compare them with the others as shoujo because it is their comedy that make the most impression. The other three however are shoujo/romance with trais of comedic scenes nothing more so I can think of them as shoujo. I know that skip beat is going to win and I like it the most from all the above but I voted for hana kimi as tha one i liked the best from fruits basket, mars and hana kimi

Well, that's not necessarily true. You're completely forgetting that shoujo is a demographic group rather than a genre of work. Skip Beat and Ouran are most definitely created for the shoujo demographic of readers. Shoujo =/= Romance.

Yeah because shoujo means "girl".
So shoujo manga is girl manga,
just like shounen is boy manga.
