I read love Hina a while ago and now I'm reading Mahou Sensei Negima because it's from the same author. I personally like Love Hina more. Which one do you prefer and why?

Definately negima, mostly due to character develepment of the main character, Negi; and the fact he isn't a pervert... at least yet.

I think I'll like Negima more if there's a time skip later. It would be so awesome to see perverted, teenage Negima. I would be able to relate to him better.

Had no idea that this many people disliked Ken Akamatsu's work.

Negima is really sucky. It's basically a manga about a lot of girls and fanservice. Though I haven't really read it. >.< Only the first chapter. But I can definitely see how it would turn out. And I haven't even tried Love Hina out.

And I thought Love Hina was brilliant. One of the better manga, even with the usual fan-service.

Well I think you're missing out, Doc. Negima is one of the few manga coming out right now that makes me actually anxious for the next chapter as soon as I've finished the latest one. It has a good story line and the art is incredible, they've actually figured out how to put in CG buildings so the intricacy of the environments is far and away better than anything else I've read. While there is still ecchi parts here and there I feel it is more than out weighed by the rest.

Love Hina was great but there were times when the characters seemed too one dimensional.
With Negima there's a lot more character development and the whole "Harry Potter" type background seems to work better.

Wow lol, reading one chapter of one manga and nothing of the other is clearly enough to say that they both suck ;)
As a big Negima fan i emplore you all to give it a go!
