Remember that previous poll about anime/manga adaptations of the original? Well, our member thevampirate gave a good suggestion to focus specifically on anime fillers. All the poll choices were made by me, so there's a good chance I didn't add some awesome choice you're thinking about, but bear with me and just choose the option that most fits.

You know what's better? Talk about the poll on our forums here!

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related):
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: How much money (in US dollars) do you spend on anime/manga goods per year?
Choices:
None - votes: 5175 (39.6%)
0-100 - votes: 4565 (35%)
100-500 - votes: 2169 (16.6%)
500-1000 - votes: 580 (4.4%)
1000+ - votes: 570 (4.4%)
There were 13059 total votes.
The poll ended: May 7th 2011

Let me just say that this is the state of the anime/manga economy. (But it's encouraging to see those people able to spend $1000+ on stuff. You guys rock!)

I think One Piece invented the perfect way to make fillers: some manga chapters contain a single page that describes things that happen with the side characters, and anime expands those summaries into full stories.
This way fillers stay consistent with the main work and actually add to it.

so if they were as good as the regular episodes then it's fine.

This is totally missing the following (very important) options:

- It is a beach/pool/onsen episode
- I always watch them!

For the first time that I can remember, I simply can't vote in this poll!

I always watch fillers no matter what, so there is no "I'd watch IF..." for me. If I watch a series all the way through, I watch the whole series, no skipping episodes unless they're recaps. And I happen to like fillers, I don't understand why most people hate them so much. They can be fun and interesting, just shut up an enjoy it. If you don't like fillers in a series then you're not really a fan of the series.

I don't mind filler arcs if it expands on some of the characters or main plot some, its sometimes nice to see a non-main character get some attention too. But so many fillers just bite. Many are just lousy gag fillers that don't add anything. What's worse is that you might get a filler episode in the middle of a fight or showdown.

I don't mind filler arcs if it expands on some of the wardrobe or shows swimsuits some, its sometimes nice to see a non-main character get in a bathing suit. But so many fillers just rock. Many are just nonstop fan service awesome that add so much love to the series. What's even better is that you might get a filler episode in the middle of a fight or showdown.

Most of them are fan-fiction jammed in between the real storyline so that the anime won't catch up to the manga...how does wanting to skip them make me not a fan of the series?

i dont mind it when it expands the plot unless it changes the plot/adds in new characters that appear later on when they dont in the manga. also with bleach for example there are so many fillers that it begins to effect the story and flow of the whole series. In fact it was the endless filler arcs that made me drop that anime all together like i dropped the original naruto series after saskue left.

If I really like the anime I'll watch it, but I mostly just wait for the filler arc to finish then watch it one go later.

If they showed more about side characters I like or if the filler didn't add anything not "official" to the history (damn Naruto fillers =.=)
