I'm having a reminiscence of my childhood fav genre of manga which is horror manga, for the likes of Chie Watari, Kanon Iguchi, Atsuko Narumo and Yoko Matsumoto... since I can't find any of their manga online, is there any present day mangakas wrote this kind of ghost horror? I tried to search under horror and mystery but it's more like fantasy/ action and not about ghost and eerie nature... thank you

oh, I don't want a gory manga, not looking for Junji Ito-ish either smile

xxxHolic maybe? not really all that scary but is about various ghost stories and stuff. can't think of anything else except maybe higanjima, which is pretty gory. neither of those suit your criteria perfectly though.

Fuan no Tane definitely.. creeped me out.
Ibitsu too! its kindda urban legend turned nightmare but its not about a ghost but its ghost story-scary.. if that makes sense smile

Petshop of horrors is good.
Ghost hunt is not really very scary, but it's not bad.

Mmmm... about Ibitsu. I read it, and it's not so creepy as some of my friends said. :S I hoped it was creepier than how it really is. It's full of bloody scenes and something like this (and a little of fanservice when the sister of the main character appears XD but as I said: a little bigrazz If you like or dislike fanservice, you can read it without expect nothing than a breast showed XD). It's also full of mistery, as every one expect reading an horror story, and interesting twists, but, for me, a very bad ending. I didn't like it so much. sad
Really... I could imagine the ending of the story with reading only the first chapter. ._.
However, I have my preferences, and my friends and other people have their, so you can like it and dislike something I love. smile I just want to expose my opinion. XD
After all, the drawings are wonderful. u.u

About the topic (end of the OT XD), in fact, I can recommend Another. The plot and the story are pretty good. biggrin I'm following the anime subs in italian and I'm nearly the last episode. *^*

Thanks guys for all the recommendations

Zekkyou Gakkyou is quite meet my expectation, though it's pretty simple minded
Fuan No Tane is too offbeat I guess haha, the ghosts don't look scary and there's no substance in every plot.
I read Ibitsu a bit, but I'm soon found it distasteful

I'm not really looking for shop-themed, must-make-contracts stuffs...
I'll get my hands on Ono Fuyumi's now... sound promising.

If you guys still have recommendations please give them to me! hehehe
Yoko Matsumoto scans are out there, yes, I just looking more carefully, sad that Yami No Tsudou only scanned for 1 volume :-|
I really love her stories, it's what I'm really looking for... set on ordinary life, engaging plot and interesting twists smile
