No one finding that vice captain was at a captain lvl but as weak as a lieutenant weird?
As i recall it Ichigo beat him with a punch -.-

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT!!!! At the end of the chapter i was thinking "Great, now we have a Japanese gesttapo, or something like it, so who's gonna be the Hitler?" Then I was all like "Nah, that's to ridiculous and cliched." Then I realized my Italian lessons have been paying off and I read Pesche's name in Italian and said "Wait. His name is PEACHES? Not "Peach" but "PEACHES"? And it's Italian? I thought Hollow stuff and anything related to Hueco Mundo was Spanish, but he's Italian." Then I had to go to my Italian class.

Why you surprise? Ichigo has been like OP since Aizen arc then again in the bringer arc.

Well if u think about it logically the weakest physical captain is probably Mayuri, im talking about in a regular fight and hes quite strong.
A captain is supposed to possess a huge amount of reiatsu plus probably have physical capabilities, so seeing him on the same lvl as other lieutenants physically while being said having captain class potential feels weird.
And im talking way back in soul society arc when he storms to rescue Rukia and knocks 3-5 lieutenants, in shikai form, now im sure a captain wouldnt fall for Ichigo in a shikai form, cept with the help of Zangetsu, and in this chapter its said he acquired bankai ahead of Kyoraku and Ukitake so i feel something is immensely wrong.

Kubo is just trying to make the new enemies look extremely strong by telling us that Mustache was actually strong (yeah right )

I think he's still alive, from what I recall someone did say that Kubo said that Grimmjow was still alive. I'm waiting for him to pop up already! He was my favorite
