I hope you have insurance, blak
It can? T_T All I know is that if you have good grades, you can have a (relatively) cheaper insurance.

maybe its just a north carolina thing, idk, but if you get bad grades here or drop out they take it away
but i found a place where if i go 60 hours a month i can get my license regardless of grades...
so soon enough i shall be driving!!!

had my license for a year now but started driving just three or four months ago...crashed three times because I'm still no good at the timing of letting go of the clutch when stepping on the gas after a full stop and there's:
-I don't wear my glasses while driving
-I don't use the side and rear view mirrors
-I seldom use signal lights
-I brake at the very last second
-I floor it whenever I can
and those are the reasons why my friends beg me not to drive MY car when we're going out
-I don't wear my glasses while driving
-I don't use the side and rear view mirrors
-I seldom use signal lights

I understand.
I wouldn't....maybe if i was paid....maybe.....

How the heck did you get your license?...Don't you gotta pass the test? (I'm assuming you're in the US)

for some reason, I did really well at the driver's exam...rush from driving for the first time maybe?
then I never drove again until 8 months later

It's insanely easy to get your driver's license in the US though...
I think they should make it much much harder but I guess if people can't drive, nothing will get done >.< Although its the same way if you are dead

I cannot drive yet but the test for your license in Sri Lanka only consists of backing out of your driveway, and driving around the block. A 'hard' test involves parallel parking.

My sister lived in North Carolina. She says everyone there drives like drunken hicks. Atleast around Fort Bragg.
Me, I've been driving since I was 18, so that's about 6 years. Didn't want to spend 50 bucks for the lessons so I just waited awhile. Zero tickets. I've run two red lights. One unintentionally, I was half asleep on my way to school and mistook a green turn signal for my light and hit the gas. I also bumped someone once suring the morning rush on the highway. That's about it. I have had a several near accidents. Luckily I was able to dodge the other driver's car. Some old guy arguing with his wife I guess almost side-swiped me on the off-ramp. I had to jump the curb to avoid him. Stupid bastard shuld have stayed on his own lane. Just this week I almost had two people merge into me driving down the road. A lesson for new drivers: learn how to dodge crappy drivers. How to spot them and getting around them. You don't want to be behind one when they screw up.

I'm learning. I have a learner's permit, so an adult has to be with me. As for now, I think that I can pass the test to get my license if I didn't have to park.

I can drive pretty well; at least I drive pretty safely.
I've been driving (my dad's car; haven't bought my own yet) for nearly a year now. It's the new Peugeot 607 (208hp) + a some sort of tuning chip that boost the engine to about 250hp.
I learned to drive in a manual transmission car though. And a slow one at that
I first learned with a guy from the driving school; but they're way too strict. They only want to find ways to keep you paying their fees a bit longer.
He was naggin' on about shit like "You must change from 2nd to 3rd gear a bit faster - put on your indicators faster - remember the course we're driving" and all that while I was actually doing it pretty good already
The one I actualy learned with was a freelance driving instructor (not bound to a ~school) and he was still pretty young (mid 20's). He was a damn nice fella' One morning I had a 4hour lesson with him, starting at 8:30PM.
I had one hell of a hangover & he noticed it right away (red eyes anyone ^^). He just letted me drive to somewhere & letted me rest a while longer
Anyway I haven't had any accidents yet; but I've noticed some funny shit already though.
At my aunt's house; there's a sort of big bump on the road there that functions as mini-bridge over a creek. Quite the perfect 'jump' for your car - appearantly a lot of drivers think so. But actually the bump is a bit to steep for a nice jump; and instead you just smack the bottom of your car against it It's not all that uncommon to find a muffler or two lying on the street in the morning
Next (dream)car: Nissan Skyline R34/R33
Next (dream)road: some of the German speedways
Sometimes on some highways there isn't a speedlimit Let the engine ROOAAAARRRRR

I've got my license. It's pretty strange that I do, too, since I've done at least $10000 worth of damage while on the road.

I can, but I do not currently, nor do I plan to, own a car. It is far to much money when I live, or am about to live, in an area where almost everything is in biking distance and anything that isn't is easily accessible via public transportation.
