Rayout (stylised as 'ray=out') manga services is recruiting an experienced editor (intermediate or advanced level) for the Okusan manga.

Position Details:

Editor must be well-versed in cleaning (using Photoshop), re-drawing and cloning (part of the editing role), some typesetting knowledge, and is available to devote time to the project at hand. Main role will be to remove all of the Japanese text in bubbles, SFX and some notes. Re-drawing accurately, if needed. And pre-typesetting the translation with a basic font (optional).

Source of Material:

High-quality 1500px (height) post-processed scans. These are our own scans that we have purchased and scanned using a dedicated ADF scanner (not a flatbed). Although we don't have the scans for all the volumes (tankoubans) right now, we have half of them ready to be used (three of the six available volumes are scanned). These are significantly better in quality versus the public volume raws and any releases existing for this manga, including our own initial chapter 1 (that we will be re-releasing).

Translation Status:

Our translator is up-to-date on the latest magazine scans (currently chapter 47). We have all the chapters and bonus content from the six available volumes translated. Releases should be frequent provided certain tasks are done up to pace.

If you think you can help us, please fill out the form on the left side of this page. If you don't see the recruitment page, go to this page. If more than one person applies for this position, we shall be looking for the individual that meet our criteria (mainly dedication to the project and won't leave abruptly).

Bump. *Still looking for a magazine scans editor that can help me with SE. The inconsistencies of public raws are making it very difficult and time consuming (hence the long release times). An experienced magazine editor (that can output within two days) will help greatly.

Edit: CLEANER
I'm interesting in working with manga scan groups, I'm also good in graphic design. I don't want to work for money, I want to be part of the manga community. I'm in my second year in College, I'm studying communications and new media and I love working with other programs like Gimp, Pixelmator. I would love to become a graphic designer for any groups in needing one at the moment. http://goldengentleman.deviantart.com/
