Where's the "other" option? Martial arts, boxing and kendo are separated but not judo? I guess I'll say igo (which is also missing—as is mahjong).

Parkour is a kind of Martial Arts... Well, based on it at least.
I voted Martial arts, but with that I mean REAL and REALISTIC martial arts, non of that crappy John Woo stuff (or the typical shounen MA, i.e. Kenichi).

Why is Martial arts the only group of sports? (Kendo, boxing and wrestling falls under this category.)

It's all about the story, if its about basketball football/soccer vollyball, it makes very little difference.
Maybe a better poll was to only use broad catogories.
like teamsports, sport with one partner, single player sport, etc

well, i chose Horse Racing cuz i'd really love to see that but if it would've been possible i'd have also chosen:kendo, archery, martial arts, fencing & figure skating

I would love a manga about snowboarding or kite surfing.
But alas, neither was an option. So I went with normal surfing, closest thing I guess.
