I'm not sure if this goes here, but I just thought I'd write it anyways. If there is an appropriate place for this thread then could a mod please move it? Thanks.
Well, I'm going to start a scanlation group with one of my friends but we're completely stuck about which manga to start scanlating. So I'm asking for suggestions!
It could be any genre, except yaoi/yuri, and it has to be a Japanese manga please.
If you have a manga you really love but hasn't been finished, or a manga that's been dropped because people got scared of copyrights, then please suggest it!
That stuff doesn't scare us. D:<
Also if there's a manga that has been scanlated terribly in the past and deserves a re-do, I'd love to take it on! 
The aim of our group will be to scanlate for the people, no matter what, because we all know the feeling when a super amazing manga isn't finished.

It would be great if you guys can do Pink (OKAZAKI Kyoko). It's less than 300 pages, and I actually have the raws. Her Helter Skelter won the Tezuka award.

also, there are lots of unscanlated works by SAKURAZAWA Erica...she's an award-winning mangaka so her works must be good i reckon....they're not very long either(Aromatic Bitters looks interesting)
i also agree with @Roughan....that mangaka is awesome...helter skelter and river's edge are among my favourites

If i could only pick one series I want to see picked up, it would have to be
Kaze Hikaru!
Really unique and intriguing on a historical level. It's currently being translated by shoujo beat, but it seems like at least a year between volumes, and as far as i know, they are quite far behind the japanese releases.
I think the Josei genre needs some serious love overall. I have a number of interesting-looking titles sitting on my hold list because they haven't been picked up, or seem to be dropped.

i have a tales of the abyss 4koma collection i've been trying to translate myself, but haven't gotten around to. 60 pages of boke/tsukomi if you are interested

Ogawa to Yukai na Saitoutachi ~Been about 2 years since it's been dropped.
Pumpkin Scissors ~War Relief-like manga... The original scanlator, "Village Idiot" died quite suddenly and there has been promises to pick it up, but so far haven't seen progress.

Wow, so many awesome manga! I'd love to do all of these, it'd take a while though ;_;
Right now it's only my friend and I so we have to recruit some people before we can take on so many projects.
Plus it all depends on if I can find the raws. If anyone knows where I can find some for the manga suggested, or a good website I could buy them from, that would be amazing

I think a 4koma would be really interesting. If you'd like, could we translate that together? Right now I'm the only translator in our group and I'd love some help, even just a little every now and then. No pressure or anything haha
