I'm looking for a manga (or manhwa) with a male lead that is lonely, misunderstood, and generally wants to die. But he encounters a girl that he wants to help, and over time he falls in love with her and she saves him from his lonely life.

This can be from either the male OR females point of view. However, I am not looking for anything with ecchi, smut, harem, yaoi, yuri, or the like.

BUT, I do want a story that's more than romance. I would like for there to be action or adventure, where their romance can develop slowly over the course of trying events.

I hope it's not too much to ask. Thank you for your help.

Nowhere Boy will probably end this way, also lots of action and adventure.

Rei wasn't like the type who already wants to die. But he thinks his life is meaningless so he was just playing around but deep inside he is lonely, all his life he was blaming himself for what happened in the past. Kira, the female lead, was like the same, she's a loner who doesn't socialize well with others until she met Rei.
I guess, it pretty much fits your description tho here, both of them are like trying to save each other because they both have issues in the past.
One of the best manga I've read.
