Also, I had been shocked by what some people got published (like in the case above) but "Scarred" is going too far.

When i was young (about 12 yrs) i watched School Days and the End made me have Nightmares (the one where he gets stabbed and stuff).

To tell you the truth, no manga has scarred for life. Buuut... Baby Bitch! is terrible, I hate it.
Uzumaki, Gantz, I'm okay with them, but I don't know if I would deal well with Guro-H. I only saw this once in a yaoi manga, the guy was on it with another guy, but then he breaks in half and his guts get exposed and he explains he is actually dead... reading more mangas like that would give me a trauma. Yep.

Honestly, I had no idea what yaoi was....*shudders* and I saw one and liked the art. Didn't read description, nor definition. At all. AND NOW I'M ADDICTED. I actually don't mind it, but it's scary that I'm reading it. It's not really something someone my age should be reading.........yeah......scary.

yeah, Bradherley no Basha definitely. I try to avoid too much of such stuff. Problem is, I really like crazy manga but there is this line I don't want to cross. Freesia was still under this line, but Bradherley no basha was not. I don't read hentai, so no ero-guro scars. But I've read that one where they tortured the girl for a month (it was a real story). I guess that scarred me a bit too, but basha more. there were also such images on the net (I regret the day I found it). it was on a forum, just a couple of pics, I hope it was not a manga. It included a big guy, and an infant and crying mother. horrible. that scarred me the most.

or in ichi the killer the things that those sociopathic evil stupid ugly bitch twins made. ugh. surprisingly, nothing else really bothered me.

I won't say I've been scarred by a manga for life but after I read love prism, I took a break from hard core yaoi for a bit. I've read a lot of hardcore stuff but the last two chapters bordered on torture. I took a break after reading Kitsune no Tama Yobai too. The first couple was cute but the second...4 year olds shouldn't be doing that. I don't mind some shota but those involved should have the bird and bees talk before going there.

When I was 11 I came across battle royal and tried to read it since I was running out of manga. I also came across the manga where a boy was licking the girl's eyeball. I was literally like wtf. It's a good thing it was only one page. I was also shocked when I came across a random webtoon I thought it wouldn't be scary but I came across a scene where the head just suddenly moved 360 degrees around ( I meant while I was reading the head just moved suddenly like an animation while the rest are just like manga). I wouldn't say that I was scarred but it certainly made me scream from shock.

I'm really so curious about Mai-chan now... but I can't stand guro, so I'm thinking that's not for me. I've read some sick twisted stuff, but for the most part I got over it all. I'm really having fun reading the posts about people scarred by yaoi... I'm not saying your pain isn't real, but really, there's much worse than two boys and bum sex. good luck getting over yaoi, though, you meet some fun people once you get on the fujoshi bandwagon.

I think the only manga I've read so far that really left a horrific impact on me was Kami no Kodomo. It's pretty tame compared to some stuff out there, but the art style and dreamlike tale... wahh. Shivers.
Ibitsu creeper me out more than it should have. It was the doll she carried, the bloody teddy bear... (I think that's the manga, anyway). Not good for someone with any sort of pediophobia like moi...
Deadman Wonderland was the first outright icky manga I ever read. Hearing about Gantz and Berserk, I'm scared to ever start them.
Before I knew what guro was when I first got into hentai... I had some problems, accompanied by nasty uncontrollable ero-guro and just plain horror guro nightmares.... Thank you, brain, for sharing that with me, it was just what I needed.
