Chapter 50: Ryu is having nightmares about Megumi and Jun leaving him because they love other people. He reaches out and yells in his sleep for Megumi and Jun not to leave. Turns out that when he wakes up, he finds that the person he reached out for is Finn. He apologizes to Finn, but Finn says it's fine. Then he askes Ryu fif he'll help him get close to Hikari. Just as Ryu is about to reject this, Finn blackmails him. Later, Ryu starts to think about his current connection with the twins and realizes they are becoming more and more distant. It's enough that he's worrying about that problem, Finn continues to ask him if he'll help him. Ryu tries to give examples of how Finn should approach Hikari, but Finn can only see how good he is at that^^. Later, Sakura comes to pick Jun up for a date and in the meantime tells Ryu that he should get himself a girlfriend^^. A few days later, Ryu and Finn are hanging out under a tree (they've become friends at this point). Finn tells Ryu that he's not able to fully open up to girls because of a secret he hides from them. He's thought about telling Hikari about it, but hasn't gotten to it yet. Finn notices that Ryu's hair is messy from leaves falling and starts to take them out. Ryu starts to blush and realizes that things are starting to get weird...Even later the next day, Ryu blushes a lot when Finn is close to him. Later, Akira has invited Ryu, along with Jun and Megumi to go to Sakura's hotsprings. When he realizes that Sakura and Yahiro are also going to be there, he almost starts to cry. Then out of the blue, Finn tackles him and they both land in everyone's lunch^^. Ryu gets himself together and tells Jun and Megumi that they're special to him and that'll never change (the twins start crying~~awwww) Akira then tells Ryu and Finn to go take showers! Later, after Ryu has taken his shower, he finds some new pants for Finn to wear and goes to give them to him. But when he knocks on the door, he hears Finn fall and crash inside. Ryu barges in to see if he's okay, but discovers something about Finn that we would've never guessed...he is actually a "she".

Chapter 51: Ryu narrates that just hours ago, he discovered Finn's deep secret: Finn is really a girl. He thought it was only something that happened in stories, but it was the truth for Finn's case^^. It was shortly after he found out that Finn told him everything. Her country has to be run by a man, so she was raised as a boy in order to be the heir. She tells Ryu that she's not sure she likes women, but knows it would be a bad thing if she fell in love with a man. She then tells him he must NOT tell anyone or else there will be serious punishment. This starts to make Ryu feel angry. But on to the next scene: the hotsprings. Ryu totally sees this as the worst place for Finn to be and takes desperate measures to make sure Finn is as far away from exposure as possible. This includes being bit by a dog who hates men but LOVES women, switching rooms with Yahiro, coming up with excuses why Finn won't be going into the hotsprings, and preventing Akira from fixing Finn's yukata. Yahiro senses that Ryu is a bit too frantic and starts to wonder who Finn truly is. Ryu reveals in narration that the reason he's feeling angry is because if it's true that he'll be punished for knowing Finn is a girl, he may come to regret ever being friends with her. Finn also senses that Ryu is feeling angry, even though he denies it to her. Later, she overhears Yahiro threatening Ryu because he won't tell him anything about what he's hiding. Finn askes Yahiro if he truly wants to know. She then decides to reveal it because it's causing Ryu to suffer from hiding it. Just as she's about to reveal who she is, Yahiro throws his clog shoe at her head and tells Ryu he was joking^^. When everyone has left for the hotsprings, Ryu askes Finn why she was going to reveal herself. She answers that it was because she needed to do something for him. As Ryu looks at Finn smiling, he wonders what he's feeling right then. Then suddenly Finn kisses him and says she did that just because she wanted to...

Chapter 52: Hikari realizes that she forgot something in the room and goes back. But when she gets there, she comes across Finn kissing Ryu (from chapter 51). This triggers a locked part of her memory to resurface a bit. That night, everyone is watching fireworks. But Hikari is not with the usual group and is on the shore of the ocean. Kei comes to talk with her, but Hikari runs away. This action only causes Kei to run after her (such a cute scene^^). Soon they realize that they have run too far and they can't get back to where they were because of the tide. Hikari draws a line between them and says he can't cross it (her mind is that of an elementary student^^). So as they're seperated and waiting for the tide to lower itslef, Hikari finds it even more awkward than before to be near him and runs away again. She plans to make a boat to get back to the others, but scratches that idea and says she'll swim instead. Kei tries to stop her, but in the process of stopping her he falls in the water. This leads to them trying to find a place to get a change of clothes. While searching, they come across a cave that has holes in the ceiling. It's a beautiful site to see, and Kei says he's happy he's seeing it with her. Later, they finally find a place with clothes to change into. Only weird thing about this is that the place used to be a prison, so they change into prison clothes (they're not striped like in the old cartoons, so it's not cheesy^^). Hikari starts to look around and finds things familiar to her: the prison setting, the barred windows, alone with Kei, and it has started to rain outside too...then suddenly she remembers things she did back when she was drunk that she couldn't remember before (chapter 42). Of course, all these forgotten memories are those of Hikari giving Kei a hard time. What Kei's grandfather said to her about being a burden comes up in her mind and she tells Kei she's going to distance herself because if she stays any closer to him, she'll just wear him out (and she starts crying). Kei stops her from going out and counters what she thinks. He then catches her from falling and tells her he LOVES HER~ and that he can't be happy WITHOUT HER~~! Hikari realizes finally that this is a romantic confession and faints^^. Hikari continues to say that she might be a burden, but Kei tells her it's okay. But just as he's about to kiss her, Tadashi barges in and figures he has inturrupted something^^.

Chapter 53: Hikari tells Sakura what happened between Kei and her and tells Sakura that she likes Kei too. Kei overhears this, so Hikari tries to cover it up by saying he heard wrong (causes Kei to get depressed). Sakura then plans for Hikari to correctly confess to Kei by giving them a chance to be alone in her haunted basement the next day. So Hikari and Kei go through the haunted setting where Hikari can't help but be terrified and cling to Kei (she's so funny when she's scared^^). She tries to tell Kei that she loves him, but she says it a bit too much. Kei thinks she's just playing a game after she says it so many times. She then tries to tell him in different ways, but they don't work. Then suddenly when she's punched by a puckered face decoration, she remembers what Tadashi told her allllll they way back in chapter 16: "You should only kiss the person you like." She takes Kei and tells him if he gets upset with what she's about to do, then he can hit her. With that, she kisses him and tells him once more that if he didn't like that, he could hit her. He smiles and tells her he could never hate it^^. He then says he'll even kiss her back because she's the one he loves~! But just before he can, Hikari pulls back and askes one innocent question: "What do people who like each other do?"
