ok. sabertooth piss me off....and what the hell is wrong with the author...? lucy dont deserve to get beat up that badly....i know it's suppose be seven years timeskip. but still lucy don't have to get beat up by that girl from sabertooth so badly....meh i hate that guild sabertooth.....
just saying my opinion.

Seriously!!! Why is Lucy always get hurt and beat up? This chapter really pissed me off! Lucy is always getting looked down upon because she's not as strong as the others. She had a chance beforehand but Raven Tail cheated. Now, I was hoping and hoping she would be okay, but nope, the author wants to make Lucy suffer! Her father already died. What do you want to do to Lucy? You know Lucy going to be more hurt at the end of the games. Sighs. I'm so disappointed. Sabertooth just pissed me off now. They laughing and stuff. Wait till Fairy tail kick their butts!

I posted this in the MF thread aswell, but here is my opinion on the new chapter:
Although all that happened to Lucy was terrible and cruel, I think it'll double her strength, whether it's good or bad. I'm tired of seeing her act as the 'Mascot', or a source of constant comic relief. It's irritating to think that she could do so much better than that, but for whatever stupid reason Mashima is thinking, he won't let her prove herself. Maybe now is the time she'll understand the seriousness of battle and she won't take it so lightly. Like they always say, 'No pain, no gain...'
Although this sounds like a rant, I guarantee it's not. She is my favorite character, I'm just irritated at her weakness. :>

Second the Blitzball.
I was pissed that Lucy got beat up, I think that is the point, though it seems most people are more pissed at the way her character is going rather than that she got destroyed. I have a feeling Natsu is going to go crazy again and I can't wait to see it. Whoever he faces in the battle (hopefully someone from Sabretooth, his counterpart maybe, though I hope they save that for a bit later) I hope he just runs right over them.

I second.... no wait, third... whatever!!! I thought of blitzball the second i saw the big water sphere X-D
And I'm Also seriously pissed that Lucy got beat up... AGAIN!!! Her magic is the most flexible among all the mages that have appeared up till now with the exception of maybe Erza's many armors and Grey's "Ice Make" magic. And where the hell was her Celestial Whip, which moves according to her will and not momentum if I remember it right. Lucy's power is greater than its being portrayed as.

you dont remember? remember that lucy and others went to celestion world and gave the whip back to virgo because it have to be FIXED due it being not used in 7 years. otherwise she would use the whip BY NOW...so yeah

Blitzball!!! I fourth that opinion. The thing that pisses me off the most has got to be the rest of sabertooth just standing there and laughing as minerva beat up lucy. Sadists, the whole lot of them. Can't wait for natsu to destroy them.

I hate how Mashima seems to refuse to let her out of the "damsel-in-distress" mode.
I mean, come on, stop using her as the main placeholder just for Natsu's emotions.
Can't you let her really shine just once?
...When she was getting pulverized, I at least half-expected Loke to come out to protect her, since he's able to at will.
Jeez. If he doesn't allow her to fully develop as a character, I may end up dropping this...or is Mashima still just trolling us and won't let her shine until the end of the arc? Considering she's the "key", for lack of a better term.

As annoying and aggravating as that defeat was, it made sense. Lucy is being setup to be kidnapped for this particularly arc. So her being taken out like this makes it easier for her to be caught.
