I want naruto to rasengan his face already. I'm willing to bet its obito or madara's brother under that mask.

Why do people think its Obito? This makes me really really want to know who he is now......

I had always believed Obito was Tobi but I was fully convinced when I realized the similarities between him and Kakashi's jutsus. For everyone's convenience I've copy and pasted what I found on yahoo, but the link can be found at the bottom if interested.

Kakashi's left eye and Tobi's right eye. They have similar powers. Kakashi teleports Pain’s rocket to another dimension. Kamui, jutsu has the ability to manipulate space, and was shown to be able to suck targets or even tear off parts of a target and hurl them into another dimension. He cannot use this ability to it fullest because he is not from the Uchida Clan and it severely exhausts his chakara. Tobi teleports root members and their abilities in a battle. His power seems to have a heavy influence in alternate dimensions and teleportation. If Tobi is Obito, it is logical that Obito can fully use the Kamui. This jutsu has the ability to manipulate space and time which Tobi does use in his battle against Fu and Torune.

If Tobi were Obito, they represent about the same timeline and age. Although it is only speculation. Obito and Tobi hair. Obito and Tobi similarities in name.'Obito' and 'Tobi' are both parodies of the Japanese word 'tobitobi' which means 'scattered here and there; at intervals'. Their demeanor is similar.

Tobi Never says that he is Madara, but has the power of Madara. Tobi never uses the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan that Madara has. Nor do we ever see the pattern of a Mangekyo Sharingan. Also Why would you talk about yourself in third person. Instead of saying I am Madara. Madara would be a fossil, just look at how old the 3rd Hokage was when he knew the 1st hokage. 1st Hokage and Madara are about the same age. If Madara did use a transfer technique like Orichimaru, he would physically have to transfer his Uchida eyes. The eyes grow old too, don’t they?

Yamato has the abilities of the First Hokage. It doesnt really make him the First Hokage does it?

Could Obito have survived? If Obito could teleport like his teacher, Minato, then he could have escaped from the rocks. Minato need to develop Obito’s abilities. So we don’t know if Obito was able to develop other techniques while Kakashi developed his Chidori. Obito was obviously weak. He refers to himself as the “black sheep of the Uchida”. He knew he was weak but wanted to prove otherwise. What better way than to eventually obtain the power of Madara. If he eventually takes Kakashi’s eye back, maybe just maybe he could even awaken an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
With the aid of the other Akatski, that even reattached Deidra’s missing arm, Obito could restore his right side physically or mechanically. He could even used Orichimaru’s body transfer and physically transfer the eye. There are a lot of explaintions that could logically explain how Obito escaped and restored his body. We just need to wait...

If Obito survived why wouldn’t he return to Konoha? He was betrayed and out casted. The Uchida didn’t accept him. His sharingan wasn’t developing. He had an eye condition. He was weak. His comrades including Minato left him behind. Minato sent them into battle carelessly and it got Obito killed. Obito says that those who leave their comrades behind are worse than scum. He calls the White Fang of Konoha a hero, but he dies because of the people of Konoha’s resentment. Konoha seems to be commonly hated by the Akatski. How could be return to his love Rin physically half a man and weak. While Rin loved Kakashi. Obito could not return unless he was more powerful than Kakashi. Rin is supposedly died. Obito’s only dying wish was for Kakashi to take care of Rin; he failed.

Obito would not be happy if he lived. He would want revenge for Rin. He wanted to show everyone in the Uchida Clan and Konoha just how strong he could become. He would want his body back. What better way than to obtain the powers of Madara, form Akatski, and obtain power and absolute rule through the power of the 10 tails.

Evidence from the text. Tobi’s body. His right Sharingan has no need for reference. Right Arm is detachable in Naruto 475. What kind of Jutsu is that? Lol. Thowing Arm Jutsu? I hope he isn’t right handed cause that wouldn’t hurt much. In a battle against Fu and Torune he is able to detach his right arm when it becomes infected. Right arm of Obito was crushed. Naruto 395 is the first time Tobi reveals his Sharingan to Kakashi. Observe when Kakashi notices the sharingan. Look at the last three illustration boxes. Sheer coincidence? I think not.

Although I do see the slight flaws in his reasoning, I still think Obito is Tobi.
And we all know that Madara can't be Tobi so we can cross him out............................... OR he could be Madara's brother but who knows
