Try Beelzebub. The main character is super strong that he is considered to be the "freshman who took over Ishiyama (his school)". Also I think you should give Tower of God a shot too? It's my favorite manga (well, Manhwa). Though in the first season, the kid is fairly weak, but he has great potential, yet he doesn't know. In the second season though, he is a whole different character. He has grown a lot stronger. Not sure if it fits your criteria though.

I haven't read Shounan Junai Gumi, but Onizuka is pretty much unsurpassed in GTO. Certainly much more down to earth in overall scale than most of the entries, but still valid

You could try he's dedicated to roses-
Its about a girl whose family owes money to rich people and she has to work as the rich familys daughters maid. She gets bullied a lot by the rich girl so to make sure her family doesnt get kicked out she has to go along with it so instead of going around as a girl and beat people up to release her stress she goes around as a guy instead!

She is super strong and shes like a ghost jjangs say cuz they cant find her thats cuz she is rally a girl. Nobody knows this and once she saves a geeks life and he follows her around not knowing shes a girl. She also has another guy friend who she saves who is a playboy and says she is 90% his type if she was only a girl!! Turns out that one day the rich girl takes her to a party just to make a laughing stock out of her and turns out the geek is actually the rich girls cuzin!! After that the rich girl falls in love with a really goodnlooking giy for the first time and it turns out that that guy was a person her boy side beat up and is looking for her and says he likes her and doesnt care if that means hes homo!!!!
