Light fails spectacularly, because he's going up against an entire team of people who have spent their lives hiding their true identities. And believe me, when he's going up against a giant, angry green monster, writing down "Hulk" is not going save him in the slightest.

Not to mention that several Avengers don't actually have lifespans for the Death Note to take away.

And guys like Ghost Rider might as well be the equivalent of Shinigami, so good luck with that.

And if you really want to go down that route, the Death Note is pathetic in terms of power levels. Marvel and DC universes all have multitudes of characters that can rewrite reality. "I write your name and you die" is absolutely nothing compared to "I don't like you, you're now a rock".

why so serious? laugh

Like I said, I really don't give a rat's ass about the avengers therefore I don't know their strengths and weaknesses ie. I cannot give an accurate opinion. &Honestly I think your underestimating Light, sure in the end he's a psycho bastard but he is a fricken genius. And I fail to see how the death note is pathetic in terms of power levels, you write the deaths of people using a notebook, pen, and name - that is godlike power. I mean really, Light sits on his ass all day and kills people. He has the brains and the bronze without even having the bronze.

And I'll end this with...
Naruto kicks everyones ass with his Speech no Jutsu. EPIC OWNAGE

Hulk has been to space. He didn't give a shit.

And once again, we're talking about them at their most powerful. Comic books have extremely fluctuating power levels, to the point where Batman can take a punch from Darkseid without turning into paste.

And at his most ludicrous, the Hulk regenerat ...

Ryuk eyes can see people names, Secret IDs are a joke, and then you have the thing about people having to do what the Death Note says before dying the way the death note ask tells it to.
"Robert Bruce Banners go crazy, turn into the Hulk and smash all his allies, next he takes his heart right out of his chest and dies"

When it comes to killing him with the team in the picture, Hulk can't hold his breath forever nor fly, so he could be stuck in an orbit around earth and sooner or later die.

For the guy talking about absolute Reality control, there are characters like that in the Shonen Jump History, go to my first post for reference.

Ryuk is neither a hero, nor protagonist, nor is he someone that would actually fight a battle. If you're going to choose him, you might as well just say the Dragon wishes everyone away.

And more pragmatically, how does the Death Note kill people who don't have lifespans? Someone like Vision is a robot and completely immune. Someone like Ghost Rider probably wouldn't be affected. Someone like Thor is completely immortal, and has no lifespan for the Death Note to end.

And once again, the Hulk has been to space, and it's almost explicitly stated in canon that he would adapt to not require air. Yes it's stupid, but Comic Books are 1000x times worse about ass-pulls than Manga is.

And yes, Manga has reality warpers. But 1) Not for heroes, and 2) Usually with some catch or special conditions. The same is generally true for Comic characters, with some notable exceptions. The major one being Scarlet Witch (who is on the Avengers roster), who literally rewrote the world twice over, once making all the mutants' greatest wishes come true, and the second time reverting the world back except with all the mutant's powers removed. So it's well within her power to just remove all of the power from anyone on the other team, without some restriction like needing to find 7 magic balls.

Believe me, as broken as you think Manga characters are, comic book characters get far, far worse. They have several more decades and the egos of dozens of writers trying to protect their pet favourites.

EDIT: Plus there's Squirrel Girl. She'd just beat everyone.

I love both. A lot. But are you talking movie avengers or actual avengers. Of its the actual avengers then the shounen j alliance would be slaughtered by there shear numbers alone. If its movie avengers then the alliance would definitely stand a chance.

Doesn't really seem like a fair fight to me...a handful of super heroes against every shounen jump action hero.

Anyway, since they are all shounen characters, just show them a naked woman and they will all pass out from nose bleeds. Then, do whatever you want to get rid of them.

Wait one minute, Hulk got froze and got asphyxiated on space once. The problem with marvel (and comic in general) is that is that they don't respect what the guy before them did with the character, and even if he didn't die in space, if he is left in orbit to earth there is no Physical way of taking him out of there with out a flying character or someone with a power like that (in other worlds someone else) And what about when he was defeated by superman in all the cross-overs they ever had?

The thing was "SJ aliance" vs "The avenger", before picture i took SJ aliance as all the people in SJ jump, also Reality control powers do have one big catch in marvel, they become weak in other realities, for example the Beyonder, one of the strongest, couldn't even stand after some time in a Dimension different than his in the Spider-man Multi-verse saga.

About Manga reality control, you can found it with out a catch in; 1-The end of a manga, 2-Joke like characters such as a Manga Version of Squirl Girl (who i hate and think of as a terrible stupid idea) and 3-Non-Heros (as you said) that are still a part of the Shonen Jump world (in case we got out of the Picture)

Then if we talk about the Death note, remember that Thor had died before so as long as he "can" die then the god of death can take his life away. For the robot it just won't work.

Finally if it the people on the picture Luffy can't be hurt by thunders nor Hits so what can they do about that?

Won't work on Goku. laugh

Note: I know Cross-overs are not considered cannon but imo they are the closest we would ever get to a balanced power in an inter dimension fight, having the people who read the thing decided who is stronger (since there is not a defined power), and in one of the two fights he just defeated him (since it was decided by the writers)

Note2: Thor Hammer could probably be wielded by many of the SJ Heros. Let's not forget that in many crossovers it was taken from him.

If we are speaking of each character's highest power level, which I hadn't considered, then things could go either way because of the nature of comic books. They have a bizzilion authors writing stories with the same characters, and not one gives a shit about story integrity because they can just chalk it up to "it happened in a different dimension" if things get too out of hand. Granted, that is one of my favorite things about comic books.

So really, it depends on which Marvel author/authors are writing on the day of this crossover battle.

this thread is a major facepalm.

Contrary to the movies, there are a shit ton of characters apart of the avengers than, Hulk, Iron man, Thor, Captain America, black widow and hawkeye -.- looking at you spawnblade. Hell they aren't even the strongest avengers either, considering neither Dr. Strange ...

Your lack of reading comprehension is a "major facepalm."

I wasn't listing the only members of the Avengers. Read my post again. I was listing the members applicable to this poll as per the link in the original poll title and in several posts spread throughout this thread. The link has specific information on the Avenger's members and the Shonen members that have been selected to participate in this theoretical "competition."

I gonna have to give you that, if "god" decided that meteors will fall on the heads of half the SJ alliance or that Thor waked up that day felling three times as powerful and with a new special power then there is not much left to do (likewise the other way around but power fluctuation is a bit different in manga).
