Internet is free! So use it in the way you like but atleast give the people the respect they deserves. If you are using EGS/The Company release,atleast give them their desrved credits.

Wow!!!!!!!! After the Admin, the Mod, and StaticHD started saying "stop the nonsense" everyone is becoming more understanding and apologetic. I guess this would be a perfect timing to close the thread. But I don't think it should be closed.

Who knows? In the near future, Manga Pirate's Quality & Speed may get worse or better - and it should still be left open for discussion when a member feels like they have something to say about a certain thing they found worth talking about. Also, I'd like to point out that it is threads like these that make forums generally interesting. Do you see how many views this thread got? The mods and admin usually steps in when threads get this huge and controversial. They had to step in because members of the scanlation groups were going out of line and weren't defending their opinions and were only attacking (unprofessionally, if I may add).

So, since this thread is specifically about mangapirate...
I'd have to say that their quality has improved. But they sincerely need a proofreader.
And considering that its been approximately a MONTH since they released their first scanlation and dished out over 100 releases ....they are really fast. They need to offer download links. I think that is my only concern.

Without wanting to carrying this thing away. Hmm most of our member aren't reading this forum (so they don't care). Second thing, Claudia is able to defend herself, i think .

The thing is when you are an iconic figure of a domain like you said you are going through a lot of bullshit. Also a lot of rumors are going on your back (half of them being false..in reality).

The thing is if you are the founder of a scanlation group (nor that i am but hmm after some time i consider egs being a bit of my place too..) you are very protective over your group and it's natural to react while saying that the scanlation world is we can agree a grey area (stealing and various other crap happening each day). Anyway the image of a person from afar and as a rival can be really the opposite when you actually learn to know that same person. No one is to be diabolized , imo.

Overall my thinking has always been that there is a lot of good manga/manwha/manhua down there and i don't really understand the point to fight over one. I didn't understand back when it was for Naruto/One Piece..nor when it was for the Breaker and even still now.

We are already oppressed enough by the mangareading site and the company publisher. I don't really understand the point of us fighting. But well everyone is seeing its own profit and try to survive in some way, i guess.

But i really do hope to see Mangapirate doing more personal project. That is how "personally" i define the identity of a group. This isn't an attack at all (because thing are going fast on this way. We are all a bit paranoid i guess..lol ) Just my way of thinking. Mangapirate for me has no identity right now.

Now to get back on the subject hmm..i am more for quality i guess.

Hmm as for my thought about MP quality release. Overall, quality in scanlation has been dropping (that goes for everyone). They are improving, but it is really far away from what i can call good quality (no offense there; i might be a crappy scanlator but i have high standards lol).
Even though it is really hard to have both speed and quality.

I find your TS being unpersonnal and dull but it is because you are going too fast. The translation being too literral to the point that sometimes you miss the point completely..you definitely need proofreaders and cleaning isn't perfect but can pass. But that's readable.

Anyway, you are a young group, you can only improve while olders can only become crappy lol (my skill are rusty atm ).

Sorry for my bad english if it wasn't understable. I also hope i made my point and it was a useful comment.

Dawn, you say that a group gets it's identity from it's personal titles, yes, I totally agree. Being a ex-founder and ex-member in many groups I see that copying is damn easy but finding your own titles that people want to see and come to your place to get...is hard but in the end quite refreshing.

Mangapirate will never be able to get "their own series" or get "personalized". The reason is simple; their name states that they pirate stuff. Second they say manga but do manhwa -_-;;;;; I won't comment further on how stupid it is.

I just noticed that they are only after one thing, speed crap that many are interested in reading. It's not the groups fault, and in some case not even mangapirate's fault. It's the readers fault. They want it.

The idiots on mangapirate just saw it to be the best and fastest way to get a userbase since they seem to have a complex about being unable to become famous without snatching other groups titles. It's not the first time it has happened and certainly not the last. Though this group, if you can call them that, are kinda waging war with nearly every naver-manhwa releasing group by doing some shitty fast release of the title they are doing already.

I'd understand if they waited 3 months and then took over but they can't seem to wait a few days before snatching the title some group is doing.

Yes, yes I know snatching sounds evil and everyone in scanlation groups are thieves and there's no honour between thieves etcetcetc. Still, how low can you go? That's the question. How far are you willing to throw your values? (if you got any) Some people go really far, we call them idiots or scumbags...others..not so much. I don't think mangapirate can be a group that have any values, moral or sense of ethic when they just act like a troll-group from 4chan.

Sorry, if you feel offended, staff of mangapirate. Especially with the last line. Still, your behavior is such that I can only conclude that. I hope you can prove me wrong and start doing titles that are not being done by others, and start doing stuff that one can read without going "aerrrggh" at the stupid grammar mistakes done by you. Yes, originality is nice but we would want it in titles not in the translation mistakes.

Its obvious (some) people might get fooled for a short time but believing that they always will is something egostic on your part.
You have seen the result. Quality is the winner after all.
No one is interested in your works.
Even if you try to use another groups founder name it wont really help you in a long run. Dont expect people to get fooled. I was really surprised (just like others) that you gave download links but then I realized that it was an another method of yours to earn money (adlyf + aggregator file sharing medium).
Quality always win.

I have seen the result, and MP is the obvious winner with the daily increase in visitors we are getting. Everybody is interested in our works. It's basically an exponential curve You can have you slow quality~

Act like a man/woman of your age. related to egscans or not, you are agitating far too many people in scanlations community. When i see your acts, i remember my embarrassing moments when i was a middle schooler, which i don't want to remember.

Ontopic, for the usual releases I just stick to the usual group doing quality releases. Unless it's a manga I really (really really) like and there is someone doing speed releases (which usually never happens) I wouldn't bother with speed releases.
