I mean, the 1st series was great and all... The 2nd season started a little slow paced but not that bad and then came the Fairy Tale arc. Seriously, it turned the tables to the point I put it on hold right after they returned from the snow village and only got it back last wednesday. Unfortunately the Fairy Tale arc just keeps going and now Tsukune who was just the usual idiot guy on a harem situation has gone all the way to the idiot side breaking Kurumu's heart during Moka's kidnapping. Yes they do make out later and things kind of return to usual "good times" after all that body modification thingy but during her broken heart pass out time theres a slight indication of a possible future love development between her and Gin and it keeps going downhill because after that they get to Fairy Tale's HQ and it's time for another sudden possible future love development to start, between Fong-Fong and Yukari when they fight together against that Miu family guy resembling Fong-Fong's parents (a Martial Artist and a Summoner). All this that happened during this arc just didn't make me interested enough to keep reading it I mean it looked to me that the author suddenly started to desperately make new love relationships to the point that every new battle all I can think about is "Ok, now what new love relantionship will come out of this fight?". At least to me, it has to be a smooth transition if he wants to give up on Tsukune keeping all the females in love with him... You can't just go through an entire 1st season and around 7 or so volumes of the 2nd season with all the girls swearing love to Tsukune and suddenly starting new "branches" of love and inserting new male characters. This was not the only reason I'm losing faith but I just couldn't ignore it either... The battle scenes are also quite scripted now I mean all there is to it is Start battle > Get beaten by strong enemy > Suddenly turn the tides and get much stronger through the cliched "Power of Love/Friendship" > Enemy can't believe the new power the good guys have but still have a trump card > Trump card fails, good guys win... I really hope the next chapters get better or I'll probably put this on hold again. What do you guys think? Also I congratulate you if you've made it this far because it really looks like I've written a lot ^^

TL;DR

It seems you have a problem with the way the relationships are working out... Honestly I think they're playing out rather nicely. In order to get over the old flame it's usually easiest to get a new one. Besides all the girls KNEW that Tsukune loved Moka... They were just stubbornly holding on to the false hope that that would change. They've known since the middle of season 1.

Yeah, I know... It's not like I didn't know it would happen but it's just that it started way too suddenly. Not so long ago all the girls knew that Tsukune liked Moka more than the others but still they didn't bother being, let's say, number 2, 3, 4, etc And also when they introduce themselves to Fong-Fong the first time they say tey are Tsukune's "Wife, Lover, Toy..." but then it suddenly changes and theres all these possible new developments and it was just too sudden for me to follow... Maybe because I've read it all at once but still couldn't wrap me in the storyline

Exactly. The only people who read the series this far are the ones that liked the genre and wanted to read more. To be honest, I don't know why the author suddenly thought it was a "good idea" to erase what made the series popular in the first place and slowly destroy the "harem". If he regrets having made a "harem series" and now wants to make it into a "shoujo-ish" drama or something, don't you think it's too late for that?

That's what I'm talking about! And seriously although I didn't keep reading R+T because it was harem but because it was following a good storyline with harem which adds that special extra humor to it, Tsukune is a vampire now we can't deny it and if we look back Moka's father had what we could call his own harem too, being the boss and having a bunch of children from different women although it doesn't explicitly say he had an actual harem he's a vampire... supposed to be a powerful and charming being. After Fong-Fong came with the idea of Tsukune joining the mafia and being able to support polygamy all of the female characters but Moka supported the idea and now the author suddenly changes everything, again not explicitly since none of the girls said they were backing on Tsukune but still... Well I will try to keep reading it but that good storyline with the extra humor from harem now is turning into a cliched "we want to destroy the world" manga and with a possibility to lose or "weaken" the harem part.

well I'm not into it but I still read one chap when in the mood
its not in my "must read" series
its in my "read when empty or bored" series
don't hurt your head or lose some neurones over it, just enjoy it to its most and then forget it
