I could understand his desire to revenge if that's ALL he had left, but forsaking all of his friend doesn't really justify his action. Kinda laugh worthy when he discovered Itachi's secret, he just decided to fall even lower. He doesnt even respect his brother last wish, he just want to let out his rage.

He's hated cause he's a whiner, crybaby, emo little b#$@&, has a brother complex and is easily manipulated by anyone who's good with words and will probably be the worst main villain ever *prays that Madara/Ochibuto stays as the main villain*

Never been a fan of him right from the beginning. I wouldn't call it hate - he's just simply annoying.
Yep that's exctly how I feel too. I didnt like him from the beginning. I dont mind he wants revenge but I never liked his attitude, ego, arrogance, personality. I mean Naruto suffered more than him. Sasuke has always been popular with girls, teacher, valued by the village, while Naruta was hated, an outcast orphan, shunned by the whole village. But sasuke just had to act like a drama-queen who refused to see the good around him. And later he blames all of Konoha because of what his brother decided and ignoring what the Uchiha clan was upto.
In the most simple one line description about why I hate him would be "He is an emo-jerk"

Believe me i've had a childhood[not my friend] who is just like Sasuke
he was always first not only in class but in school and even in prefecture
and had a strong body and was quiet strong and haughty (even delinquants don't mess up with him)
but he was always dissatisfied with everything and had no real friends (just a bunch of suckers) but it was his fault because he looks down on everything and everyone
now he is nowhere he messed up his life (such a waste) and i don't feel a single atom of sorriness for him 
because he is an Emo-jerk and is better of dead
what i wanted to say is maybe you see sasuke as cool guy but believe me if you have met with some real life Emo like him you'll know why his so fuckin hated!

I hated him a lot until finding out who he was based upon. Loved using the term "sauce-kay" alongside other Naruto fans. Now, I'm just watching discussions from the sidelines...

I hate Sasuke because...
1. I never really like him even before I started to read Naruto (cuz i thought he looked ugly, mind my shallow ness)
2. For the the first part of Naruto he was like "i need power!" to beat his bro (fair enough...but he runs off with orochimaru >__>)
3. He kills his bro and completed his 'revenge' but realises he made a huuuuge ass mistake and so goes "i need more revenge cuz i hate everyone/thing!"
4. He then decides to destroy his hometown cuz ...well i dunno y actually but he should just be killing Danzo (which is probably the only thing he did right btw.) and those other old advisers and whatnot
so basically he got what he wanted from the beginning (kill itachi) and then decides to kill everyone just like his bro was forced to do, by his own will, and basically theres just 0 logic right there cuz i don't get what the hell he's doing
i mean even if he committed suicide after he found out the truth from his brother I'd make more sense to me or even go back to Konoha as and empty emo shell or something... and then team 7 can get back together again (fat chance, i know )

maybe they just hate him because he's a bit mopey.
(lol, and I heard that he was originaly supposed to be the main character but naruto ended up taking his place  )
