Well I am also not really sure about the latest release in Japan. smile
Judging by the release dates of the books, I asume it must be somewhere between Chapter 35-40.

And yes the Manga really rocks!! Volume 4 was great and im glad someone as decided to scanlate it faster! This manga needs to be more known.

It's a pity someone had to swoop in and steal another quality project, but I guess that's how these things go when something becomes popular.

Not sure what the latest chapter in Japan is, but there are 5 volumes out.

A quality project that took months to release their chapters, yes. Mangaupdates doesn't have it on record, but Spore released on a daily basis starting from roughly a week ago. He also specifically noted on 4chan that he was not looking to rain on mangascreener's parade, but frankly speaking they were taking too long and he thought he'd spread the love. If I recall, scanlation groups do not have exclusive rights to their projects.

If he was looking to glory hog, I imagine he'd have posted his stuff somewhere other than on 4chan, where threads last for maybe 3 hours tops. Personally, I prefer scanlations that actually come out on a regular enough basis that I can actually remember what happened in the last chapter when a new one comes out.

Well, you can sell it how you like. I still don't think it's a mannerly thing to do.

Not that I'm _that_ upset or anything; after all, it's only a matter of time before everyone can buy the books in English. And even if a group would take months to get their chapters done, whether I read them all now or later: one day they're gonna run out.
Damn ADD community with their "NOW NOW NOW I WANNIT NOW OMG" :/

But I'm just disappointed that different people have to do the same stuff, in stead of finding something good on their own.

I kinda agree that a group should not pick up a title that was being scanlated by other groups. But I also felt that if one particular group is having more interest and they felt that they can do a more dedicated job than the other on scanlating the title. Then go for it.

As you can see, Anonymous Spore felt that they can do a better job than Manga Screeners by scanlating the chapters in a regular basis. They also did a great job in terms of the scanlation quality and translating them.

So I have no problems whatsoever with Anonymous Spore picking up on the project.

2 groups is not that bad, a little competition is sometmes good.
But I agree that more than 2 groups is a total waste.

imagine 10 groups XDD but that does go to show the popularity of a manga

Anonymous Spore is doing a great job scanlating this wonderful manga. The latest chapters have been rather interesting! Thanks for the hard work!

Just because the other group takes longer doesn't imply less dedication.
Anon Spore's versions of Vinland Saga are definitely okay, but I just wish s/he picked up something I hadn't read already. I'm gonna wait for Mangascreener's version of VS anyway.

You seem pretty picky. Why does it matter who it was released by as long as its released when you want to read it and in hqconfused? its really not that big of a deal.roll eyes Besides if someone takes a while to do the scans even if it is hq they have to watch out for other scan groups because people want to read them on a regular basis so of course someone is going to start the same project as them.

Just because a group scanlates it doesn't mean they own it.

In other words, you have no right to complain another group coming in and offering competition.

I love the series, its absolute awesomeness. Learned much from it, the main character is interesting, and what happens doesnt follow the usual patern.

Saddened somewhat that releases are slow, but still its great fun =D
