I was talking generally about Grand Fisher. Creating an equivalence between Masaki and Rukia, were they to both be shinigami.
Another pressing issue I have is the exact date of the Quincy extermination. Was it back with Juhabach 1000 years ago, or was it later, in the past few centuries. It seems strange that they would kill off the entire group except for one family and then let that family keep passing their skills down through the generations for 1000 years. The Ishida family had 4 generations since Urahara was exiled (assuming Souken's parents were still alive 100 years ago). Why would only one family be chosen to survive, and why would the dangerous Quincies not be imprisoned, while the harmless Souken was captured and dissected by the Research Bureau? None of the backstories make any sense.
