I'm wondering if there are any series out there that are at all similar to and 80s TV shows or a movies in any aspect. For those that don't know anything about 80s series or movies, here are a few: A-Team, Magnum, Goonies, MacGyver, Knight Rider, ALF, Snorks, Smurfs, Scooby Doo, Weird Science, Ghostbusters, The Neverending Story, Back To The Future, Terminator.
For those of you who suggest Nausicaä, I already have both the movie and manga.
If your going to ask what I specifically want, don't. The reason being is that I want to see what you people can compare with and then see if I can enjoy it myself as well.
P.S. Still looking for series for my previous post: http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=37274&pa ge=1

Full Metal Panic! (anime) had a number of 80s TV series references (mostly musical ones though).
I remember seeing Knigh Raider jokes in Hayate no Gotoku (anime) as well as Columbo jokes and few other. There were also various jokes in Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai (anime) including Knigh Raider jokes.
Now that I think about it Columbo jokes are quite common in manga. I remember coming across those a number of times.
Edit: Oh wait I forgot Black Lagoon. It had lots of 80s/90s references

two 80's manga from Akimi Yoshida Banana Fish - probably closer to what you want Longer and Slower Than a River - dat 80's fashion!
A Million Pound Love - the last story is very Blader Runner-ish Parasyte - similar to The Thing From Eroica With Love - spoof spy stories such as James Bond, more of a 70's feel than 80's feel (several major characters are physically modeled after members of Led Zeppelin) Patalliro! - another spoof of spy stories, this is more of a gag manga A, A' - 80's sci/fi vibe
