Shadow heart 2 and Radiata Stories.
Why the game developer always making some great character die after they've been in some tragic development ? sad
Anyways, that's why I like them both.
smile wink grin

metal gear has a great story, but it does take a lot of thought and research to get a EVERYTHING that happens through all of the games. Also, i just finished Heavy Rain and that story was epic i actually felt emotion and uneasiness at the end when i was unsure who would live and who would die, truly a spectacular story that has made a giant leap forward in what a game can be.

The Metal Gear Solid series has, without a doubt, the most complex plot. No game series comes close, imo. However, if we were looking at individual games, Heavy Rain deserves to be in the discussion. Video game story telling at its best. I'll also throw in Fallout 3. Haven't finished it yet, but it has a great story so far (and I'm not a fan of the post-apocalyptic genre). FFVII has the best story of the FF I've played, but FFVI is looking very promising. And it is overshadowed by its over-the-top violence, but God of War has a very good story.

But if I had to choose one, I guess I'll go with Heavy Rain? It's really hard to choose only one game when a series of games usually makes for the best story

Imho Bioware and Valve have the best storylines (and in Valve's case also storytelling) of all developers and therefore i'd have to say of the games associated with either developerbiggrin
