Hello all!
As my username should be clearly visible on the website, I shall skip any formal introductions and get straight to the point.
I have recently stopped writing fanfiction - one of my previous hobbies - and I've decided to try my skills at translating. As I am quite interested in anime and manga, I believe that this is a good starting point.
I am able to fluently read English and Traditional Chinese. Additionally, I am currently studying Japanese, so I can also read it with the help of a dictionary.
I excel most in Traditional Chinese > English translations, though I could also try Japanese > English or anything else. I am also able to read some Simplified Chinese though it would take longer compared to traditional.
However, I do have quite a few preferences when it comes down to manga. Shounen that lacks romance or Yaoi (BL) is generally at the top of my priority list. Shoujo and anything that contains a thick trace of romance is at the bottom. As I am fairly new to such a business, I know that I shouldn't be too picky, but it will be great to translate something that I enjoy to read.
So, with all that said, I am looking to join any translating group that required either Japanese or Chinese translators. I will be great to help.
And finally, to any mods out there, I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section due to me being new to this forum. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and please do move it if it is to be in the wrong section.

Our group specialize in Yaoi, so I think you'd fit in great. ^^ We recently began working on a shounen project as well. Maybe you'd be interested. Come visit our site. We'd rather have you join us as a Japanese translator, but well, whatever floats your boat.

Yaoi Shake scans is a new Yaoi/BL scanlation group that that is greatly in need of a Japanese translator .
we plan on continuing dropped yaoi mangas so if you've already decided on a group to enter and not planning to join anymore then we understand but please consider helping us with a couple of chapters to send the word out to other translators who might help us .

we are a small group that work with dropped manga. right now we are working with:
