 Art is a blast!

Hi, i decided id pick up Skip Beat! due to the overwhelmingly good reviews (i kept putting it off), normally i don't even give Shoujo manga a second glance but after reading this ive discovered i really like this manga's art and story, also i like the balance between serious and funny, so what i want is a Shoujo that is simmilar to skip Beat! **must have art similar to Skip Beat! or atleast more on the shounen/seinin side of things**
I'll elaborate more on what i want (ill add this to first post) 1. Shoujo that doesnt feel Shoujo when you read it (sorta like an antishoujo-shoujo) 2. Art closer to shounen/seinin style (dont like the over exaggerated "beauty" of most shoujo art) 3. characters not being too innocent (blushing every second panel and all swoon-swoon) 4. not necessary but same as Skip Beat!'s "anti-love" (i find it refreshing seeing someone so hellbent on not falling in love XD) 5. Comedy (not so much its a gag manga, but a nice balance between comedy and serious)
Please NO - Yaoi Yuri Shounen Ai Shoujo Ai Rape Hentai Doujin Smut Gender Bender - this is ok ONLY if its girl dressed as guy Gore - (a little is fine but i don't want it to be like Gantz)
Please check my lists, if you see anything on my lists (complete, maybe, to be checked, hold, waiting, reading, faves) that you think i should read sooner/re-read etc. please let me know, thanks.

Kaichou wa Maid-Sama Warau Kanoko-sama (and it's sequel) Lovely Complex Oresama Teacher Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge Tokyo Crazy Paradise (By the creator of Skip Beat) Private Actress Dengeki Daisy Yamada Tarou Monogatari I'm not exactly sure if you're more interested in the lead's character, the topic (acting), or the comedic delivery. Most of the ones listed above were ones I picked that were closer to comedy.

I'm not really the comedy type when it comes with manga, but here are some that might fit:
Nineteen, Twenty-One- an amazing piece. This is a story about a girl who skipped two years of her life due to a coma. After awakening, she feels incomplete due to the absence of those two years until she meets this young man who helps her become whole again through their mutual love for cats... and possibly each other?
Kimi wa Petto- a josei manga about a woman with high standards who came home one day only to find a young man in a box?! The young man is later turned into her pet, and their story is a really great one. The plot may sound weird, but trust me, it's a worthwhile read. I stayed up at night just to finish this manga back then =)
Paradise Kiss- the art isn't my thing and probably isn't what you're looking for, but the story makes up for it. I don't really know how to summarize it since I haven't read it in a long time, but I can tell you it's about a girl who is chosen by a group to be their model.
P X P- this is a manga by one of my favorite authors. It's not her best work, but like I said, I rarely read mangas the genre you're looking for. It's about this mysterious person named "P" who steals things that were stolen and returns that object to whomever it belongs.
Lovely Complex- I watched the amine of this and loved it, but I heard the manga is better. Anyway, it's about a girl who is super tall and a boy who is unbelievably short. Inevitably, they fall in love.
That's about it, off the too of my head. I'd jot down several others, but I have a feeling you're looking for more shoujo kind of stuff.

7 Seeds - its josei, so I didn't know if it fits your request The story is superb. The art is sketchy and might put people off at first, but you'll get used to it later. It didn't have much comedy in it, but I think it will do.

I third Lovely Complex. It's such a funny manga/anime and the couple is a bit unconventional.
Second Ouran Koukou Host Bu. It's like a parody of all shoujo. It's quite aware of using shoujo cliche's and uses that as comedy relief~
I'm enjoying the anime adaption of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun at the moment. Slow romance (like Skip beat!~who knows when they will get together?) between 2 unpopular characters (cold-hearted girl x trouble maker) instead of unpopular girlxpopular dude. Makes for some great comedy.
If you do not mind a bit on the josei side, Cheese in the Trap is a wonderful webcomic. It's hilarious, mature (not fluffy~takes place in college), and quite realistic. Balances between the drama and comedy moments well imo. Currently one of my favorite series
