I do, however, like angst - lots of it. And I don't mind if a main character dies partway through, but the story continues long enough for the rest of the characters to deal with the loss and move on.
So is this story marked as a tragedy because of something that happens at the end, or mid, or pre the storyline?
And since I'm asking for spoilers anyway, do the characters stay together at the end? one of the comments describes the ending as 'realistic' - which alarms my happy-ending-loving self.
Edit (with spoilers): Ok, so I read it anyways, and just in case anyone else has the same concern, I'm going to answer my own questions.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The tragedy is pre and early on, and in the general tone overall, but the ending is not a tragedy. and the two main leads do end up together at the end.
So I'm happy, and glad I read it.
