This happened with me and my best friend ince. We both met the same guy 1 week apart, and liked him. We decided to just see how things played out and let him decide. He chose my best friend and I backed off. They were together for 2 years and once I got to know him better, I discovered that we weren't really compatible anyway. For both me and my best friend, our friendship is more important than any guy. We would never undermine each other, but would let things play out and see what happens.

I'm very much someone that likes to sit back and let life flow, so I'd probably choose to do nothing and watch how things unfold.

If you fight with dirty methods and get him, but then you lose your friend, how will that be that be any good? Starting a relationship with guilty feelings and recklessness will just make it harder for everyone in the end.

I had a situation similar to this happen to me as well.
My friend didn't know I we liked the same guy, so I lead her to believe I was more interested in the guy's best friend. I would constantly talk about all of his good points in front of her, in an attempt to convince her to forget her interest in the first guy. My plan worked, but a bit too well. In all of my effort to convince her I managed to convince myself as well, and we both ended up liking the same guy again.

i chose "do nothing" because ive never confessed to anyone before..and before long whatever circumstances bounded me to this person would be lost and we part ways without him ever knowing that i liked him. i think i would react the same way to a love triangle; i'll probably just sit back and do nothing.

Same here... Most I've ever done is try to get closer to the person and drop hints... So yeah, nothing DX But I'd never undermine a friend, even if I had the guts to say anything...

I choose do nothing because that is probably what i would do, i'm not the kind of guy to plan ahead of time.
